As part of our commitment to sustainability, we run all of our competition cars on synthetic fuel. This is a like-for-like fossil-free alternative to petrol that reduces emissions by up to 80%. This can be mixed with traditional petrol and no modifications to the car are required. You can fuel this car with traditional petrol – we simply use synthetic fuel as part of our sustainability goals.

Affectionately known as “Nigel” by its previous owner, our 1972 MGB GT was first purchased on 21st October 1972 from Royal Oak Garage (Bexley) Ltd. in Erith, Kent. It has a 1.8-litre BMC B-series engine with a 4-speed manual gearbox and Laycock overdrive.

Originally finished in Harvest Gold, it was later repainted in the Damask Red you see today.

In 1986, it underwent a respray in its original gold colour before going through a bare-shell restoration and repaint between 2010 and 2011. It was at this point that the Damask Red was applied.

Between 2018 – 2022, it was resprayed again, the chrome was renewed, a new heritage roof panel was fitted, and the interior was refreshed.

Our 1972 MGB GT has several upgrades from its original specification. These include:

• Re-chromed front and V8 rear bumpers
• Over-riders removed
• Frontline Developments front splitter
• Minilite alloy wheels
• Rear seats removed
• Mazda MX-5 leather seats
• New carpets, trims, and Smiths gauges

A fantastic example of an MGB GT and one that we expect to be an extremely popular competition car.
