It seems hard to believe that we are quickly approaching halfway through 2026! The entire team here at Bridge Classic Cars has been as busy as ever, with work continuing on some of our current projects and initiatives, as well as lots of exciting new ones in the works too.
Here is a quick look at what May 2026 looked like at Bridge Classic Cars.
Workshop
As always, there has been a huge amount of work completed by our award-winning restoration team. However, one project that both arrived and left us in May was a 1955 Ford Thunderbird. This one came with a tight deadline and an important story, so the team did all they could to make things happen as quickly as possible.
As its owner was desperate to use the car as part of his daughter’s wedding, which is happening very soon, there were several issues that needed to be resolved asap. As soon as it entered the workshop, it was looked after, assessed, repaired, and tested, ready to go back to its owner with a bit of time to spare before the wedding!
Projects like this, that mean so much to someone, are a fantastic reminder that cars aren’t just metal objects that we drive; they can be extremely important to their family, and we will always do our best to preserve the memories they hold while setting them up to make some new ones too!

In May, we found nine more winners of some very special prizes in our competitions.

Showroom
The Bridge Classic Cars online showroom has launched! This is where we will be sharing some of the incredible vehicles we currently have for sale. If you visit the new online showroom at the moment, you will see some very rare Ducati Motorbikes, A one-of-one build we are currently working on, and a stunning little 1967 Fiat 600.
Keep an eye on our new showroom if you are looking for a special vehicle to add to your collection.
Media
There has probably been one automotive news story that has taken more headlines than any other throughout May, and that is the reveal of the new Ferrari Luce. Obviously, there was a huge online reaction to the first all-electric Ferrari, and it has continued to generate a very passionate response from many journalists, drivers, car enthusiasts, and anyone else wanting to throw their opinion into the mix.
We also saw the data that seems to show used coupes are rising in value as drivers look to keep a hold of that old-school analogue driving experience.
The Lotus Drivers Club visited us on a beautifully sunny Saturday morning, and we also got to have an incredible conversation with Helen Tait Wright about her recent completion of the Dakar Rally! If you haven’t read how the conversation went yet, you really should. You can read it here.
Bridge Classic Cars Kids
We have continued to develop our kids program, and there are now even more things to do and try on the Bridge Classic Cars Kids section of the website.
As well as the regular news for kids, kid-friendly videos, highlights of our school tour, and exciting information about our debut book, Rilee, the Little Red Car, you’ll now also find a new activities section. This is where you’ll find colouring sheets to download, and if you have a budding young artist in your family, they can now draw a sustainable car, send it in to us, and we might just turn it into an actual car design poster for them.
Take a look at all of our kid-friendly activities here.
