Ferrari has officially revealed the all-new Ferrari Luce at the Vela di Calatrava – Città dello Sport, Rome. The Luce is part of the brand’s electric future, but Ferrari says it still stays true to the performance and engagement expected from the Prancing Horse.
Ferrari describes the Luce as a completely new kind of Ferrari, rather than simply an electric version of an existing model. The launch date also carries historical significance, coinciding with Ferrari’s first-ever race victory in Rome back in 1947.
The Luce is built on a dedicated all-electric platform featuring four independently controlled electric motors, one for each wheel. Combined with electrically controlled active suspension, rear-wheel steering, torque vectoring and Ferrari’s new Vehicle Control Unit, the system has been designed to deliver the sort of dynamic precision typically associated with the marque’s combustion-powered cars.
Ferrari claims a 0-62mph time of just 2.5 seconds, 0-124mph in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of more than 190mph. Power comes from a 122 kWh battery pack and four F80-derived electric motors producing a combined 1000+bhp, while range is said to exceed 300 miles.
One of the biggest talking points of the Ferrari Luce is its design, as Ferrari collaborated with LoveFrom, which is the creative collective led by Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson, to develop an entirely new visual look for the car.
The exterior is dominated by what Ferrari calls a “glass house” design, with a smooth shell-like form extending below the beltline. Floating aerodynamic wings at the front and rear help manage airflow while keeping the body visually clean and uncluttered. Ferrari has also fitted the largest staggered wheel setup ever seen on one of its production road cars, with 23-inch front wheels and 24-inch rears.
Inside, the Luce introduces a five-seat layout for Ferrari, made possible by the electric architecture. The cabin combines physical buttons, switches and dials with digital displays developed alongside Samsung Display. Ferrari says the focus was on tactile interaction, blending traditional mechanical controls with modern digital functionality. Materials include recycled anodised aluminium, Corning Gorilla Glass and premium leather.
Ferrari has also put a lot of time and effort into sound, despite the lack of a combustion engine. Rather than creating artificial engine noise, the Luce amplifies authentic mechanical frequencies and vibrations generated by the drivetrain. The system can alter sound intensity depending on driving mode and paddle inputs, aiming to preserve the emotional connection traditionally associated with Ferrari performance cars.




Ferrari says the Luce achieves the lowest drag coefficient ever seen on one of its road cars, thanks to active aerodynamic grilles, adaptive ride height and managed airflow throughout the body.
Despite embracing electrification, Ferrari has said that the Luce is intended to complement, rather than replace, its existing petrol and hybrid models. The Luce has been made as part of Ferrari’s multi-energy strategy, which was first discussed back in 2022.
