Bonnet repairs

Tony collected the chassis for our 1955 Aston Martin DB2/4 Drophead Coupé from the powder coaters. Clinton carried out repairs to the bonnet on our 1955 Aston Martin DB2/4 Drophead Coupé and fabricated a new front valence.

Polyfan

Chris applied guide coat to our 1969 Audi 70L and began sanding the surface down using 120-grit abrasive.

Assessing our Scimitar

Greg addressed damaged threads on our 1979 Reliant Scimitar SE6A by installing a thread insert to restore proper fitment. He identified that the main battery ground was in poor condition and requires refurbishment. In addition, he has been cleaning all grounding points throughout the vehicle.

Jon travelled with Tony to the customer’s address in Norfolk and returned to the workshop with the customer in our 1964 Daimler 250 V8. Welding work

Gregg carried out the fabrication and installation of the wing inners on our 1978 Mercedes 350SL. The inner wing was welded in place and the work brought to completion, ensuring a solid and properly aligned structure ready for the next stage of restoration.

Too much overdrive for our Jensen

John investigated an issue with our 1956 Jensen 541, which had become stuck in overdrive, preventing the car from reversing. To access the affected components, he removed the interior and gearbox tunnel. After some careful fettling, he was able to release the overdrive and carry out the necessary adjustments to restore proper function.

Welding prep on our Mercedes

Greg prepared the quarter panel on our 1978 Mercedes 350SL by ensuring its fit was correct and securing it in place. Once aligned, the panel was tacked, making it ready for the final welding stage.

Prepping our Audi

Mauro continued work on our 1969 Audi 70L by carrying out preparation to the door shut areas. He then completed filler work on the roof to refine its surface and began applying filler to the front wing in readiness for further shaping.

Priming and painting our DB2/4

Chris applied primer to the boot floor and doors on our 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4, progressing the preparation work ahead of the next stages in the refinishing process. Then Chris went on to mask up the car and paint.
