Jaguar E-Type Racecar: Restoration Update

Our Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Racecar has been over to Demand Engineering for a full stainless steel exhaust. We elected to go for a side exit exhaust to suit the ethos behind this lightweight race-car build. Tom has also fitted lightweight perspex glass to the rear windscreen, whilst strengthened glass is fitted to the windscreen.

Daimler Dart Roof Completed

Wow! This roof is looking absolutely fantastic after its recent restorative works by Kath. We’ve fitted new glass and rubbers and trimmed the headlining in a lovely subtle grey. The roof will now make its way over to New Zealand with the Daimler Dart we sold last month.

Jensen 541 R Electrical Update

We’ve made great progress on our beautiful 1960 Jensen 541 R. Bob has installed the wiring harness, front and rear lights and indicators. Paul has fitted the bonnet and bonnet support struts. Coming in Soon: Rover Mini Rio

This lovely Rover Mini Rio is coming in to our workshop soon. It will head down to the paint shop to repair any rust before repairing selected areas of the paintwork that need attention.

1961 Francis barnet Restoration

Our Francis Barnet restoration is really starting to take shape now. Final assembly has taken place. Now it just needs to be run-in and tested before this fabulous 60s trial bike is ready for the road and warmer weather.

Humber 12 Valuation

Here at Bridge Classic Cars, we offer unique vehicle valuation. Our classic car experts have the nessasary market knowledge to be able to value even the rarest of vehicles. One such vehicle is this Humber 12. Produced in 1933 and 1944 there were 7 produced and the wonderful coachwork was by Cross and Ellis.

New Arrival – 1959 Ford Consul

We’ve welcomed in this lovely Ford Consul to our workshop for restorative works. This fabulous Ford is in such wonderful condition. It truly is a credit to it’s owner. Whilst with us, the Consul will have a full brake overhaul and engine restoration works.

1960 Morris Mini Engine

Bridge Classic Cars’ engine specialist, Ady has been working on our Morris Mini engine. The engine is being stripped down in preparation for it to be machined and then fully recommissioned back to original factory specification before being transplanted back into our Mini subframe.

BMW M3 Brake Replacement and Calliper Refurb

Pete has been hard at work refurbishing this gorgeous M3’s braking system. He’s replaced the disks and pads before servicing and refurbishing the brake callipers. Great job, Pete. This M3 is really starting return to her former glory now.

Suzuki GSX 400 T Engine Blasted

Our Suzuki Engine has recently been blasted in preparation for paint. The heart of this Suzuki will live on when it’s reborn as a cafe racer. The engine will now go over to our paint shop to be painted in heat resistant paint.

More parts arrive for our Suzuki Cafe Racer project

Every day more parts come through the door for our Suzuki GSX 400 Cafe Racer project. The engine is currently being sandblasted in preparation for painting. The next steps will be painting the fuel tank and engine before fitting all of our new and refurbished parts back onto the Suzukis frame.

Servicing our Mercedes Van

To keep our workhorse Van in top shape, Pete is giving it a thorough service today. We’re just as adept at working on modern cars as well as our usual classics. There is a minor issue with the handbrake to repair which Pete is also taking a look at.

Jaguar E-Type Seats Upholstery

Kath has begun working on these E-type seats. She put new foam in, fitted both bases before fitting the gorgeous red leather. Then she moved onto fitting the headrest before the metal stalks and metal grommets arrive to complete the seats.
