We recently gave a donation to We Are Music following a charity competition for our 1966 Land Rover Series 2A.
We Are Music is a charity that we learned about through our work with Decoy Studios, and is a youth-led charity that uses music to bring young people together. It gives them the chance to meet others with similar interests, build confidence, learn new skills, and perform at events in their local community. As well as helping them enjoy making music, the charity also supports those who want to take things further by creating opportunities to explore careers in the music industry and continue their education. After we heard about the incredible work they are doing, we felt we had to get involved and see if we could help in some small way. That led to us acquiring the Land Rover owned by Decoy Studio founder, Cenzo Townshend and getting it ready to be won through our competitions platform.
Following a successful competition, we donated the profits to We Are Music and hope that the money will help them continue their work and grow their reach even further afield.
Following our donation, we caught up with the We Are Music team to have a chat about what they do and what they hope to do in the future. Mark Murphy joined us as an interviewer, and the result was an incredible couple of hours with a passionate team. The full video will be coming soon; in the meantime, here are some photos of what we got up to at Decoy Studios with the We Are Music team.
