Alan stripped out the rear light and bumper moulding, repaired the bumper and painted it as well as the bumper moulding.
The rear bumper and new rear light were then fitted.
Our 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 has been undergoing some minor works that have made a big difference to the overall look of the vehicle.
Part of this involved classic car technician Mauro refurbishing the side steps.
In addition to the side steps being refurbished, the grille was also replaced.
Our Range Rover has made good progress during its short time in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop and it will soon be leaving us ready to get back on the road again.

As you can see from the photos below, the wing mirror is looking great and, once back on the car, it makes this already beautiful car look even better.

While it is with us, our Range Rover will have some paintwork completed. its wheels refurbished, and some other minor works.
We collected our 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 along with our 1994 Rover 216 Cabriolet and, as you can see from the photos below, they looked very good travelling together.
The last time we showed you the assessment done on the wonderful 1990 Range Rover CSK that we currently have in at Bridge Classic Cars for sympathetic restoration.
After the assessment was done by our technician Mauro, the first port of call was to try and get the 3.9 litre V8 to fire into life. From the assessment, we could see all of the soft fuel lines had cracked and were too brittle to attempt to be pressurised. For that, Mauro fitted up a testbed fuel system to ensure the Range Rover would get all the fuel it could need.
As mentioned in a previous blog post, the starter motor had failed. Before rigging up the fuel, Mauro installed the brand new starter motor to the engine to make sure the big V8 would turn over well enough to be fired.
With the testbed system in place, it was a case of adding the fuel, the air and spark into the chambers. Success. The now 31-year-old V8 roared into life inside of our workshop.
Next on the list of mechanical checks for the CSK while it’s here at Bridge Classic Cars, is to see if the Range Rover will move under its own power…
A starter motor is the unsung hero of any car. You rely on it for vehicles new and old to begin every sort of adventure.
Eventually, however, they do give up. That is the story of the starter motor on the 1990 Range Rover CSK we have in at Bridge Classic Cars. Our technician Mauro began looking into exactly what was happening.
After removing the old starter motor, he found it to be in rather a bad shape. A massive crack was found in the stator, this was due in part to the ignition switch on the steering column. When Mauro first tried to check to see if any power was going to the starter, he noted that the 3rd position would not return the 2nd position. This meant that the starter motor was constantly on which caused the crack in the stator.
After the replacement starter motor had been delivered, Mauro tested the component on the bench to check it operated as it should before installing it into this very rare piece of 4×4 history. Along with the starter motor, Mauro also cleaned up some of the grounding points.
The next step for the CSK here at Bridge Classic Cars will be firing up the 3.9 litre V8 with this very lucky customer right next to it to enjoy the first start.

This particular example has been stored with us at Bridge Classic Cars in preparation for its move over to our workshop but when that day arrived, unfortunately, it would not start under its own power. This was no problem. Some manpower and our vehicle transportation team in the closed vehicle transporter, the CSK was on its way to our workshop.
Once safely at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, our technician Mauro clambered under the 1990s icon to check over each component of the starting system methodically and carefully. First starting with the battery, which was indeed flat. Putting it on our Sealey battery charger was simple to get some power back into the black beauty. However, this didn’t change the issue.
Checking that the engine was free became Mauro’s next job. Carefully and precisely barring the 3.9 litre V8 over several times to check that it span freely, which happily it did. With the key in the ignition in the second position, Mauro gently clicked it over to the third point on its cycle. Again nothing.
With this information and his experience, Mauro recommended changing the starter motor on number 47 of the 200 Range Rover CSK’s built.
With this crucial part on order. Mauro enlisted the help of the other in-house Bridge Classic Cars technicians to get the considerable car on our 4 post ramp to begin its inspection.

Its been exactly 60 years since the Series 2a was released and it still has its original power and authenticity in-tact. Whilst these vehicles are known for being glamorised tractors, nothing beats them in terms of authentic adventure. The Series IIa retained the civilian simplicity of the Series I whilst fine-tuning the styling, updating the suspension and adding a larger 2.3-litre four-cylinder. Our Series 2a comes with desirable overdrive and free wheeling hubs which makes it unique for motors from the time.
Land Rovers have now come synonymous with adventure, camping and an outdoors lifestyle, however, they were originally designed as agriculture work-horses. Over the decades, they’ve gained a duality between agriculture and adventure.
This iconic vehicle its reminiscent of the golden era of exploration and was often seen leading the charge on the silver screen. With America’s Jeeps taking the 4×4 lead across the pond the post-war era, Land Rover Series and Range Rover Defenders stood for the UK’s iconic off-roading vehicle. You might recognise a similar green series IIa that featured in the Italian Job alongside a fleet of mini coopers.

The next stage was to sand the roof and doors before spraying a blue base over the body and then coat it in a clear lacquer.

We were incredibly lucky with the weather as it managed to stay dry and clear throughout the afternoon and with the addition of some artistic smoke grenades, our marketing team shot some stunning visuals. This beautiful 5 litre 2015 Mustang GT is the newest addition to our Hanger storage collection. We’re looking after this customers car for the winter so it’ll be tucked away as part of our storage services. It really is a stunning modern car.
This week we’ve welcomed a selection of new vehicles into the Bridge Classic Car family including the 1974 Lime Green VW Beetle, the 1994 Land Rover Range Rover TDI, our new Mercedes transportation lorry and an original Chevron B-20. The Range Rover and Beetle are set to be competition cars however we are yet to decide the fate of our exciting and rare Chevron.
This week we also delivered the Triumph TR4 to the lucky winner Adrian Harcus and wife, Aileen, in Aberdeen. We’re excited to see what plans they have for their new TR4!
Our friend and trust chrome specialist visited Bridge Classics HQ today to drop off some beautifully crafted chrome pieces for our recent blue Jaguar E-Type series 3. Tony Wyatt from his self titled polishing company works on providing us with the best and shiniest chrome parts for our restorations. Today when we arrived, we came in his stunning 3 litre Rover which itself has his handiwork on the front.

So far, our technician Tom has replaced the carpets and ceiling cloth.
The back quarter panels have been removed and placed in the trim shop to be refurbished once we decide on a paint colour for the rest of the body.
