FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bridge Classic Cars Welcome the Future with MG Cyberster Test Drive Day

Bridge Classic Cars, known for its passion for restoring and preserving classic cars, is very excited to announce an exciting event that combines the past with the future. On Saturday, 12th October 2024, the MG Cyberster Test Drive Day will take place, giving guests an opportunity to experience the revolutionary all-electric sports car first-hand.

With a deep love of classic vehicles, Bridge Classic Cars understands that the future of motoring will look very different to its current state. While electric vehicles (EVs) may not be the only solution, Bridge Classic Cars welcomes the opportunity to showcase innovations like the MG Cyberster – a fantastic display of modern motoring – at this event.

Two MG Cybersters will be seen on the day: one available for test drives, while the other will be on display in The Classic Lounge, the bespoke events space right next door to the main restoration workshop. The Cyberster’s cutting-edge technology has already impressed some of the company’s special guests when they were invited to the local launch of the powerful sportscar at the EMG Ipswich showroom a few weeks ago. Bridge Classic Cars teamed up with EMG Ipswich as both parties demonstrate how the automotive world is evolving while still keeping sight of the passion and engineering that got us to where we are today.

Rob Harvey, Marketing Manager at Bridge Classic Cars, expressed the company’s commitment to embracing innovation: “At Bridge Classic Cars, we will never lose our appreciation for the beauty and craftsmanship of classic cars, but we also understand that the industry must adapt as we move into a more sustainable future. The MG Cyberster is a perfect example of how modern design and technology can merge with the passion of classic motoring. We’re very excited to offer a hands-on experience for our guests to explore the all-new MG Cyberster and we hope they see how exciting some EVs can be.”

Running from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, the MG Cyberster Test Drive Day is free to attend but booking is required to ensure everyone gets an appropriate amount of time with the car.

Guests will also be able to enjoy drinks at the bar and will be able to see the range of classic cars in the workshop,

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Raising vital funds for Cancer Support Suffolk

Bridge Classic Cars Competitions is running a very special charity competition where you can win a 1990 Jaguar XJ6 while also helping to raise funds for Cancer Support Suffolk’s essential work throughout the region.

Known for its classic car restorations, Bridge Classic Cars is proud to offer participants the incredible opportunity to win a 1990 Jaguar XJ6. This competition not only allows the team of classic car experts to contribute to an extremely important cause but it also gives car enthusiasts the chance to own a recognisable and practical Jaguar for just a few pounds.

The 1990 Jaguar XJ6 is known for its timeless design, high performance, and undeniable luxury. Finished in stunning British Racing Green with a beige interior, this has been looked after in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop in Suffolk for a little while but is now ready for the lucky winner to take ownership of.

By collaborating on this charity competition, Bridge Classic Cars aims to make a significant impact on Cancer Support Suffolk’s mission of providing care and support to those affected by cancer in our community. Craig Ranson, Managing Director of Bridge Classic Cars, said, “We are delighted to support Cancer Support Suffolk as we know just how important their work is for our region. We understand that without their fundraising efforts, many individuals and families would struggle to cope, so we are extremely happy to play our part in helping the charity continue their incredible work and support many more lives.”

Mark Murphy MBE CEO of Cancer Support Suffolk said “This is an amazing opportunity for us to raise awareness of the work we do supporting cancer patients and their families in Suffolk. We’re an independent local charity and rely on fundraising to deliver our services, so hopefully, this will enable us to help more cancer patients going forward. A massive thank you to the team at Bridge Classic Cars for supporting us. I know Cancer Support Suffolk is something close to their hearts.”

Bridge Classic Cars recently set up a conversation between a group of colleagues, friends, and family, all of whom had experienced cancer in some shape or form. This happened as a result of a member of the team being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The full conversation can be seen here.

Press Release: Drive It Day – Sunday, 23rd April 2023

Join Bridge Classic Cars In Celebrating National Drive It Day

As well as raising funds for the NSPCC, National Drive It Day celebrates the epic journey undertaken by 65 cars in 1900. These driving pioneers attempted to drive 1000 miles from London to Edinburgh and back again with the goal of proving the viability of the motor car.

Bridge Classic Cars are joining the celebration by hosting Drive It Day 2023. Beginning at The Hangar, in the impressive grounds of Bentwaters Air Base, there will be time to admire the wide range of vehicles in attendance. After a hot drink, we will travel, In convoy, to our main workshop in Pettistree. The route will cover approximately 7 miles.

Once at the workshop, you will be able to take a closer look at some of our current restoration projects as well as enjoying live music from local band, The Buskateers, food from Otis Breading and Suffolk Fried Chicken, and our fully licensed bar will be open too.

Drive It Day, hosted by Bridge Classic Cars, gives you the opportunity to get behind the wheel of your special vehicle, take in the sights of the picturesque Suffolk countryside, and raise vital funds for a very important charity.

National Drive It Day is on Sunday, 23rd April. We will be meeting at The Hangar, Bentwaters Parks at 11 am with the drive to the workshop beginning at noon. You can then enjoy all the food and entertainment you like until things come to an end at 3 pm.

Commemorative rally plates can be purchased to help raise funds to support the NSPCC’s Childline service. With 90% of the charity’s income coming from donations and each call costing £4 to answer, the charity and the children and young people it helps, need our help now more than ever.
