541R In Paint

Adam has masked the 1960 Jensen 541R and progressed it into the colour stage. An undercoat was applied first, followed by the main colour and then the clear coat. The wheel arches have been prepared, primed using a wet-on-wet process, and finished in satin black.

Primer Rub Down

A guide coat has been added to our 1960 Jensen 541R. The primer was then rubbed down ready for final paint. The car was then masked up and will soon have its beautiful new paint applied.

Jensen 541R Paint Prep

Our 1960 Jensen 541R has been fully masked and been in polyfan. A guide coat has been applied to the car, and the polyfan has been rubbed down using 180-grit sandpaper. Polyfan

Chris has been continuing his work on our 1960 Jensen 541R. Recently, he has applied a guide coat and rubbed the car down. As he continues to prep the car for paint, it’s getting more and more exciting to see the progress being made.

Jensen 541 Engine Support

Paul has fabricated a temporary engine support for our 1960 Jensen 541R. He then fitted the engine and the steering arms. Once this was done, Paul then fitted the front hubs and started mounting the front subframe.

Final stretch for the Jensen 541

Looking lovely sitting in the middle of The Atelier. The final touches are being made to the door and the car is hopefully only days away from the testing stage.

Jensen Engine Work

After Tony collected the engine of our 1960 Jensen 541R, Paul fitted the clutch and brake master cylinders to the car. He then cut the heat shield to shape and fitted it to the bulkhead. Paul went on to prepare the fuel tank before fitting it. The flywheel has also been prepped.

Two More Deliveries

Tony has been out on the road again delivering two vehicles to their very happy owners. The first was our 1959 Jensen 541R. After loading it into the trailer, it was soon back home. The second delivery was to the lucky winner of our 1960 BSA A10.
