We have recently welcomed our 1971 Morgan Plus Four into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.
This will join our ever-growing collection of competition cars for Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, once it has gone through its initial workshop inspection and assessment.
The last Morgan competition car proved to be very popular so we are looking forward to giving you another opportunity to win one equally as beautiful.

Earlier today, we welcomed a new addition to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop in the form of our 2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
The plan is for it to soon be available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions and, from first impressions, it will likely be extremely popular.
One of the purchases made at auction this week was our 1953 Land Rover Series 1. Once it has gone through its workshop inspection, it will go on to be offered as a prize through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
This particular Series I 86’’ is presented in the ever-popular Green and was subject to a full restoration between June 2016 and July 2017. It was restored by Fisher Restoration at a cost of more than £30,000.
As you can see from the images below, this is a fantastic-looking Land Rover and it will make its lucky new owner (whoever that may be) very happy.
Our 1976 TVR 2500M was won very recently through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
The lucky winner of this beautiful classic car will get lots of information in the history file that comes with the car. Part of that file includes a photo album containing photos of the car going through various stages of its restoration earlier in its life.
No matter how detailed a car’s history is, seeing pictures of it being worked on makes its story even more exciting and interesting.
Our 1957 Austin-Healey 100-6 has been with Bridge Classic Cars workshop manager, John as he resolves a few issues with the vehicle before it goes live on Bridge Classic Cars Competitions in the very near future.
As you can see from the photos below, John has been working on various components in preparation for it to be won.
Classic car technician Jonn has been working on our 1973 Triumph TR6 which will soon be available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
Jonn fitted new cold start cables and looked at the fast idle speed cable too.
Back on 22nd August, Robert Alfonso won our 1968 Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5 when his ticket number 878 was randomly drawn as the winner.
As our E-Type sold out in just a couple of weeks, it was drawn much earlier than scheduled. The live draw was actually meant to take place this past Tuesday (12th September). As it sold out so early, the car wasn’t quite finished and ready to go.
However, we didn’t want to make Robert wait any longer before he got to see his very own E-Type so we invited him to the workshop so he could see it for himself.
Robert spent a couple of hours with the team here, not only admiring the new addition to his garage but also the other stunning classic cars we are currently working on. He even got a short drive with Bridge Classic Cars Director, Gordon too.
As you can see from the photos below, it was a great visit and we are very much looking forward to our E-Type leaving the workshop and being delivered to its new home.
Our 1979 Ford Escort MK2 has been going through its initial inspection with classic car technician Jonn.
During the inspection, Jonn fixed a locking issue on the nearside rear door. The horn connection was cleaned before the interior was striped so Jonn could resolve an issue with the reverse light wiring. New wiring was installed from the gearbox to the reverse lights and a new exhaust heatshield was also fitted.
Once he has finished assessing the vehicle, we will be able to put together a plan of action for getting it live on Bridge Classic Cars Competitions in the very near future.
Classic car technician Jonn has been continuing his work to get our 2020 AK 427 ready to go live on Bridge Classic Cars Competitions very soon.
Jonn fitted a new sump gasket and torqued the sump to 12nm. He then checked the vacuum pressure cooling system, with it steadily holding pressure, indicating no loss of vacuum and, therefore, no leaks.
The white screw on the number plate was swapped for a black one before the car was run up to temperature where all the gauges were reading fine and within specifications.
Our AK 427 is now almost ready to be won by its lucky new owner.

With less than 6000 miles on the clock and kept in stunning condition, this will make a fantastic addition to the lucky winner garage very soon.
Our stunning 1970 Ford Cortina MK2 1600 GT is back and will soon be going live one more time on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website.
It actually never really left us, although it was won a little while ago. Unfortunately, the lucky winner had some car trouble with his daily vehicle so asked if we would be interested in buying the vehicle back. He was a big Cortina enthusiast so it certainly wasn’t an easy decision for him to make. However, it was an easy one for us as we loved the car so added it to our personal collection.
After much deliberation, it has been decided that our Cortina will be available to win again very soon. This means that you have one more chance to become the proud owner of this beautifully restored nostalgic classic.
Before it goes live though, classic car technician Jonn has been giving it a checkover. While doing so, he fitted a new distributor, before test driving.
Our 1973 Triumph TR6 has continued its progress towards going live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website.
Classic car technician Jonn fitted a new horn pin as well as a new ignition coil with a new wire being run from the fuse box to the coil.
It won’t be too much longer until our TR6 will be available to win!
Classic car technician Jonn has continued his work on our 1957 Austin-Healey 100-6 as it will soon be available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
After finishing some diagnostic work, Jonn fitted a new nut to the drag link ball joint on the offside of the vehicle. Once this was done, both ends were checked and were found to be secure.
As well as some work on the suspension, Jonn also noticed that the flexi brake hose has been rubbing. Workshop Manager John was also working on our classic Austin Healey as he was rectifying an electrical issue.
Our 2020 AK 427 has been in the care of classic car technician Jonn as he has begun his work to get it ready to be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
During Jonn’s initial inspection, he noticed that the sump gasket was split and weeping. This was due to it being overtightened, so this was something Jonn resolved. The top hose was modified before a new J hose was modified and installed.
Another issue to be resolved is the alternator support bracket rubbing the water pump pulley. Chris from the paintshop also came through to the main workshop to check the paint colour ready for some paint repairs to be made.
If one Ford Escort in a day wasn’t enough, we welcomed a second into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop in the form of our 1991 Ford Escort RS Turbo Series 2.
This car comes with a huge following and we are very excited that someone will be lucky enough to win this exact one through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions in the very near future.
Classic car technician Jonn has been inspecting and assessing our new arrival, our 2020 AK 427. As this will eventually be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, he wanted to make sure it was on its way to being ready for its future new owner.
While inspecting the eye-catching car, Jonn tested the battery and found it to be working as it should. Monty stepped in to help Jonn out by making a new lower radiator hose which Jonn then fitted and secured in place.
The inspection of our 2020 AK 427 will continue with any other issues being rectified before it is won very soon.
Our 2001 Jaguar XKR has been in the hands of classic car technician Jonn as he has begun inspecting the vehicle ready for it to eventually go live on Bridge Classic Cars Competitions very soon.
During his investigation, Jonn tested the air con which he found to be working fine. He also found that there was a broken wire inside the loom which meant the boot release button was not working as it should. After Jonn had repaired this, everything was back working again.
The bezels that go around the centre gauges were reattached before Jonn turned his attention to the front seats. The driver’s seat module was found loose under the seat so needed to be reattached to the seat frame.
This was slightly better than the passenger side module which was missing completely. Jonn also needed to untwist the nearside front seatbelt at the reel behind the panel.

Believed to be the car of choice that took centre stage on the TVR stand at the 1976 British Motor Show, this beautiful classic certainly comes with a fascinating back story.

Before it goes live on Bridge Classic Cars Competitions ready to be won, we have been looking back at some photos that its previous owner has provided us with of it in various stages of its build.
Today, we saw the arrival of our 2017 Ford Mustang GT at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.
This impressive-looking Mustang will go on to be a competition car through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions with the new owner being found very soon.
Our previous competition Mustang proved to be very popular and we are expecting the same from this one!
Our 1973 Triumph TR6 will soon be going live on Bridge Classic Cars Competitions. Before that happens though, classic car technician Jonn has been checking it over to make sure everything is ready for its lucky new owner.
Part of Jonn’s work included getting all of the rear lights working, replacing the aftermarket steering wheel with a more period-correct one, and getting the stereo loom ready for the stereo to be fitted.
The stereo was then fitted and tested and found to be working as expected. Jonn went on to adjust the handbrake as well as fitting new door locks on both sides. A new clutch pedal anti-slip pad was fitted too.
As most of you know by now, there are always interesting and exciting vehicles coming into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop. However, from time to time, something extra special and attention-grabbing comes through the door.
Today is one of those times, as we welcome our 2020 AK 427 in the style of an AC Cobra.

Today, we saw the arrival of our 2001 Jaguar XKR which will soon be available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
As it has just arrived with us, it will now go through an inspection and assessment with our team of classic car technicians but, from first impressions, things are looking good already!
Classic car technician Jonn has been working on our 1980 MGB GT in preparation for it to be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions very soon.
After charging the battery, Jonn inspected and cleaned the brakes and was happy with their condition. A new choke cable was fitted and the tappets were adjusted. Jonn went on to clean the rocker cover ready for a new gasket to be fitted.
The jet depths were set and our MGB GT is now almost ready to go to the lucky winner when the live draw takes place in a few days time.
This morning, we held two live draws, the first for our 1989 Ford Sierra XR4x4, followed by the very special draw for our 1968 Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5.
The lucky winner of our Sierra was David Monks with ticket number 2037.
The lucky winner of our E-Type was Robert Alfonso with ticket number 878.
Molly and Freddie had a great time finding the winners of these 2 classics. Both were sellouts and the E-Type actually sold out more than 30 days early! As our biggest-ever competition, it’s very exciting to see our beautiful classic Jaguar soon leave the workshop to join its new owner.

As our 1976 Morris Mini was won last night, classic car technician Jonn has been doing some work to make sure it is ready to go to its new owner very soon.
Some of the work included fitting a new wheel bearing, replacing a wheel stud, and fitting a new fog light switch.
Once Jonn is happy, our classic Mini will be making its way to the lucky winner.
Our 1976 TVR 2500M has been having some work completed by classic car technician Jonn.
Jonn looked at a number of areas of our classic TVR in preparation for it to eventually be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
As well as repairing the bonnet strap, Jonn attached the DAB aerial to the nearside of the windscreen and a new stereo was fitted utilising the original stereo front backing.
One of the newest additions to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop is our 1957 Austin Healey 100-6. Coming to us from a good friend of ours in South Africa, this beautiful classic will eventually go on to be a competition car through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
However, before that happens, classic car technician Tom has been hard at work inspecting and assessing the car as well as repairing and replacing various issues and parts found along the way.
