Our 1978 MG Midget 1500 is a usable and well-documented example of one of Britain’s most iconic small sports cars. Finished in Pageant Blue over a brown interior, it is a real throwback to the late 70s open-top driving.
First registered on 14th August 1978, it has a 1491cc engine, paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. The car benefits from long-term ownership, having been in the care of a previous owner for around 27 years from 1998 through to early 2025.
Our Midget comes with a substantial history file containing documented expenditure, including restoration-related work in 1998. More recently, sympathetic recommissioning has been undertaken to get the car ready for its new owner. A new vinyl hood has been fitted, along with a new set of alloy wheels and tyres.
Visually, the car looks fantastic and has several desirable upgrades, such as alloy wheels and subtle cosmetic enhancements, while still retaining the character and charm expected of a late Midget.
