Description

This car runs on Synthetic Fuel.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we run all of our competition cars on synthetic fuel. This is a like-for-like fossil-free alternative to petrol that reduces emissions by up to 80%. This can be mixed with traditional petrol and no modifications to the car are required. You can fuel this car with traditional petrol – we simply use synthetic fuel as part of our sustainability goals.

With around 1500 examples of the Cooper S MKIII coming off the production line, and only 792  of these for the UK market, they are now a very rare classic to see on the road. Owning one is perhaps even rarer!

Our 1971 Mini Cooper S was manufactured in January of 1971 and was subject to a substantial restoration in the mid-2010s. This work was carried out by Mini specialists at The East Anglian Mini Centre.

During the restoration, the car was completely stripped down to a bare shell, sandblasted, and welding repairs were completed. New brakes and suspension were added to the car and the engine was completely stripped down and rebuilt.

The history file that accompanies our Mini Cooper S contains invoices that detail the restoration work including a detailed write-up from the director of the East Anglian Mini Centre outlining the work completed.

Finished in Glacier White with a Black interior, our 1971 Mini Cooper S will certainly be an attention-grabber for its lucky new owner.

  • 1 of just 792 examples built for the UK market
  • 1275cc engine
  • 4-speed manual gearbox
  • Full restoration by Mini specialists
  • Glacier White over a Black Interior
