The MGC GT was introduced in 1967 and produced until 1969. It was MG’s attempt to create a true high-speed grand tourer. Our 1969 example is finished in Mineral Blue with black trim and was built between March and April of that year. It left the factory on 10th September for University Motors Limited in London. It was first registered on 1st October 1969 in Surrey.
Our MGC GT is powered by a 2,912cc straight-six engine paired with a 4-speed synchromesh gearbox with overdrive.
Over time, this particular example has had practical updates designed to improve reliability and drivability while retaining its heritage character. These include electronic ignition, an uprated 55-amp alternator, K&N air filters, and an electric radiator cooling fan. The suspension has been enhanced with poly bushes and rose-jointed links.
Our 1969 MGC GT comes with an extensive history file, including photos of past restorations (and negatives of the images), as well as a detailed history of the car from its previous owner.
