This can be mixed with traditional petrol and no modifications to the car are required. You can fuel this car with traditional petrol – we simply use synthetic fuel as part of our sustainability goals.

Built between 1962 and 1969, the Daimler 2.5 V8, later known as the V8-250, was the first Daimler model to be based on a Jaguar platform and the last to feature a Daimler-specific engine. Powered by the lightweight 2,548cc V8 designed by Edward Turner, an engine also used in the SP 250 sports car, the model remained in production until 1969, with 17,620 units built, making it the best-selling Daimler of all time.

First registered on 11th April 1969, our Daimler 250 V8 was originally finished in Light Blue over Grey leather and specified with an automatic gearbox. It has been with its previous owner since 2018 and underwent a full body and mechanical restoration to factory specification, which was completed in 2024.

Over £35,000 was spent on the restoration work including bodywork repairs, including new sills and wheel arch restoration, as well as a respray. Inside, the original Grey leather interior has been re-coloured, and the walnut veneer trim has been refinished. The 2.5-litre V8 and automatic gearbox have been overhauled, along with a full suspension rebuild, including new leaf springs and a reconditioned rear axle. The braking system was upgraded, featuring four-pot callipers on the front, and a new set of chrome-plated wire wheels were fitted too.

Our beautiful 1969 Daimler 250 V8 comes with a comprehensive history file, including the owner’s handbook, original Daimler service books, UK V5C, and a detailed record of restoration expenses.
