The humble Morris 8 – an automobile instrumental with getting Britain on the road. Available in several different guises, the most elegant was the Tourer just like this one.
Originally registered in Oxford in July of 1939, this beautiful ‘Double Green’ Tourer is a wonderful example of a charming, useable pre-war classic and found its way to Suffolk 30 years ago.
This particular Morris 8 Tourer was completely restored back to original condition in 2021 by its previous owner of over 30 years (and owner of the famous Elmy Cycles company). The car is known locally throughout the classic car scene having been presented several times at the Helmingham Hall Festival of Classic and Sports Cars throughout the years.
The car features a luggage rack on the rear – perfect for a weekend away or a picnic hamper but currently features 2 scaled down versions of the car itself which were found and painted by the previous owner and come with the car.
This beautiful Pre-war Tourer isn’t just a show-stopper but a very usable classic with a 918cc 4-cylinder engine, a 4 speed manual gearbox and a beautiful addition to any petrolheads life!
