This limited edition release from our partners at Coachbuilt Whisky is the first Scotch whisky ever finished in an ex-Korean whisky cask. The cask itself comes from the Three Societies Distillery, South Korea’s first single malt producer, founded in 2020 just outside Seoul but already gaining global recognition.
With only 130 bottles produced, this is one of Coachbuilt’s rarest and most experimental offerings.
The result is a beautiful 20-year-old blend. Coachbuilt describes it as:
Appearance / Colour
A refined light amber tone with subtle golden lift
Nose / Aroma / Smell
Bright grain character leads with corn, soft florals and vanilla, taking on an almost bourbonesque sweetness. Gentle oak and light confectionery notes sit underneath.
Flavour / Taste / Palate
A burst of candied sweetness: Caramac, cola nibs and milk-bottle sweets. Flavour-driven but still light on its feet, with a clean grain backbone and soft spice building through the mid-palate.
Finish
Delicate and airy, with a soft, tapering spice and a lingering vanilla-sweetness.
