Coachbuilt Whisky
Inspired by the historic art of automotive coachbuilding. Coachbuilt Whisky is a premium blended Scotch whisky that combines spirits from Scotland’s five whisky regions. The blending process results in a rich, deep, and complex flavour profile, which is then further enhanced by finishing the whisky in Sherry casks from Spain.
As one of our key partners Coachbuilt Whisky is available to try in The Classic Lounge at Bridge Classic Cars.
Founded by Formula 1 driver Jenson Button and whisky expert George Koutsakis, Coachbuilt aims to create a whisky that reflects the craftsmanship of coachbuilding. The art of constructing bespoke car bodies is a unique skill and taking that view into whisky production results in a product that is not only high in quality but also full of character and history.
Coachbuilt Whisky is a blend of single malts and single grains from five whisky regions of Scotland. Each region contributes its unique flavours and characteristics, creating a well-balanced blend.
The production process of Coachbuilt Whisky involves careful selection and blending of whiskies that have been aged in a variety of casks, including bourbon, sherry, and wine. This varied maturation process enhances the complexity of the final product, adding hints of vanilla, dried fruits, spices, and even a hint of smokiness. The result is a whisky that is smooth, rich, and versatile.
5 Regions:
- Speyside – Navigating through fertile glens and down the vibrant valleys before fording the River Spey.
Frugal with peat and full of fruit, Speyside whiskies are a finely tuned symphony of flavours - Highland – Fruit and oak dance with heather and smoke, creating an engine of state that is both powerful and elegant.
The wild seas and impenetrable moorland that dominate the landscape are bold and intense, yet the path opens up into floral elegance. - Islay – Every cylinder of the ocean roaring. Islay whisky is intense and bold, with rich aromas and flavours unique to this region.
Combustion and smoke give depth, complexion, and earthiness to the blend. - Campbeltown – Shift into a full-bodied, briny, and slightly smoky palate as the path hugs the coast.
Only three Campbeltown distilleries are still in production, but the malts are muscular and force themselves onto the podium. - Lowlands – The cruising, gentle, and elegant palate of the Lowlands whiskies is reminiscent of grass, honeysuckle, cream, ginger, and springtime. Unlike other regions, the Lowlands whiskies can play truant from peat or salinity, offering a unique that is both smooth and flavourful.
