1960 Jensen 541S Work

Remove all sump bolts and release the block. Undo engine mounts and steering rack mounts and jack up the engine. Turn engine over by hand so crank journal is horizontal. Mercedes 500SL Window

John has spent some time clean the door glass ready for refit. He has made up the bolts and fitted the window channels.

Jensen 541 Handbrake Repair

The handbrake lever on our 1956 Jensen 541 was found to have excessive movement. Upon investigation, it was discovered that two locating bolts were missing from the handbrake pivot. These bolts were replaced, and the handbrake was then adjusted to ensure correct operation.

Fabricating Component For Our DB2/4

New front sills have been fabricated for our 1955 Aston Martin DB2/4 Drophead Coupe.

Bulkhead Strip

The bulkhead of our 1987 Mercedes 500SL was stripped both inside and out. The heater box was carefully split into three sections and removed, with all clips, controls, and related components bagged and labelled for clarity during reassembly. DB2/4 Bonnet And Door Sills

All necessary fixings have been fitted to our 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4. The inside door handles and locks were installed, followed by the bonnet stops complete with rubber bump stops. Heated Rear WIndow Wiring

Jonn completed the wiring of the heated rear window on our 1968 Mini Cooper S. He routed the wire from the rear window across the bulkhead to the relay, carefully soldering a terminal in place and shrink-wrapping all connections for protection. Servicing Our MGA

Our MGA has been in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop getting some attention from the team to make sure it is road-ready for the summer.

350SL Chemical Dipping

It has been decided that our 1978 Mercedes 350SL will be chemical dipped. This has been decided over our preferred sandblasting due to the amount of underseal that has been put on the car over the years. New body parts are on order, and the engine is also undergoing a full rebuild.

Austin Devon Headlining

Progress has now been made on the headlining of our 1951 Austin Devon.

Austin Healey 100 Carbs

First picture shows worn carburettor float needle that was not seating and causing the carburettor to overflow. The second picture shows the fuel pipe that was leaking on the soldered joint that wasn’t noticed until the float needle was replaced and the fuel system could build up pressure.

Camper Appraisal

Volkswagen Camper Assessment And Repairs

Jonn removed both washer jets from our 2014 Volkswagen T5 Camper to clear blockages before refitting and testing them to confirm functionality. Jensen Inspection

Jonn carried out a brief inspection of our 1960 Jensen 541s, followed by greasing all applicable points. An oil and filter change was then undertaken.
