2024 Festival of Classic & Sports Cars set up and take down.

Set up began early for us on this year’s stand at the Festival of Classic & Sports Cars at Helmingham Hall Gardens. The week prior to the event was glorious sunshine all week and the forecast looked good going in to the weekend so with that in mind we started the installation of the stretch tent from our friends at Events Under Canvas on the Thursday. That meant we were able to start transporting our vehicles over to site and start to lay out the display.

It was certainly less hectic this year having time on our side and the centre tent was a new feature for us this year which was an exciting new addition.

Sunday morning was a bit of a breeze to be honest. A few banners and flags to put up and then we could sit down as a team, grab a coffee and enjoy the surroundings.

The day itself is always so busy at the show that you don’t really get time to enjoy what else is there. This year especially, I didn’t even get to leave the stand so I didn’t manage to see any of the cars on display but Nick, Molly and Rob got to enjoy it a bit more when they were out and about filming the show.

You can check out the proper photos from the day here

And after a full on day which was a huge success, I think the part that was truly quite special was being the last to leave the site after clearing down. I dropped Tamas back off by his car on the top field and then had the opportunity to look back at the incredible all. A few hours previous to these photos the fields were bustling with thousands of cars and spectators all enjoying the atmosphere.

The Festival of Classic & Sports Cars is one of the best shows of the year for us and this year was one of the best of all time. Thank you so much to the team at Helmingham and we are so proud to be a big part of this show and hope to continue our relationship for many years to come.

Good Deed 6/20 – Hadleigh & District Classic Motorcycle Meet

This past weekend our Managing Director Craig, an avid biker, took a trip down to a local bike meet with his Ducati Scrambler. The event took place in Whatfield and was being held by the Hadleigh & District Classic Motorcycle Club and was raising money for East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Craig went along with his close friend, Luke from LRH Cars, who just passed his test to check out the bikes on show and join in to support.

Pretty much the entire history of motorcycles was represented at Whatfield Community Centre on a glorious summers day. Take a look here:

Scrambler for the summer!

In preparation for the Hadleigh & District Classic Motorcycle Club 40th Anniversary celebration taking place on Sunday 21st July at Whatfield Village Hall, I have taken my bike out of hibernation and put a few miles on her.

I am not a member of the club myself but I just so happened to see an article in the East Anglian Daily Times and thought I’d have a ride out with my friend Luke and grab a bite to eat.

Luke, of LRH Cars in Hadleigh is new to bike world, having only passed his CBT last month and has only recently taken delivery of his first 125cc so it’ll be great to catch up and it’s always lovely to have a friend to ride out with.

It’s also the first ride in with my new Fuel Arizona jacket, received earlier this week from Urban Rider.

Good Day To Run The Bike Out

Now that the weather has been much more summery as of late, there have been some great biking days and, Bridge Classic Cars Director, Craig recently took his 2017 Ducati Scrambler 800 Cafe Racer out for a ride in the nice weather.

As you can see from the photos below, the bike looks incredible and was undoubtedly an exciting ride out.

Biking into the sunset…

Last weekend felt like the first weekend of summer. The sun was shining, the roads were dry and everywhere I went I saw the groups of bikers out enjoying some fresh air.

So I took the opportunity for my first solo ride out of 2023 to one of my favourite destinations.

Here is my Ltd Edition 2017 Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer. A bike I have owned for a couple of years now.

It was a Saturday evening, around 6pm and the sun was starting to fall over the stunning Bawdsey coastline. Other than a couple that had pitched up for the night with their VW camper I was all alone…it was simply beautiful.

I am very lucky to call Suffolk my home…

Refresh – New Vinyl on the Carbon Fibre Number Boards of the 2017 Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer

The carbon fibre number boards from the 2017 Ducati Cafe Racer were recently removed from the neo-classic cafe racer to be refinished by our friends at Apex Signs.

The graphics are hand-cut vinyl pieces which were laid onto the shimmering lacquered carbon and are colour-matched as close as possible to the gold accents on the beautiful Ducati.

They look absolutely incredible!

Changes – New Pieces on the 2017 Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer

The team at Bridge Classic Cars have been working on some updates for the 2017 Ducati Scrambler 800 Cafe Racer belonging to our director, Craig.

To start with, the team have changed the mirrors on the bike to a style and set up that works better for Craig’s riding position while then removing the carbon racing plates below the seat for a different style which is coming very soon.

Changing Places – Swapping the Number Boards on the 2017 Ducati Scrambler 800 Cafe Racer

The team at Bridge Classic Cars are beginning the process of replicating the original design of the number boards on the 2017 Ducati Scrambler 800 over to the new number boards.

The original graphics on the silver number boards, which came as standard on the Cafe Racer versions of the Scrambler 800, will be copied and taken over to the aftermarket Carbon Fibre pieces which are currently on the bike.

This Just In – 2017 Ducati Scrambler 800 Cafe Racer

There’s a new arrival to the Bridge Classic Cars fleet! It’s our director, Craig’s, 2107 Ducati Scrambler 800 Cafe Racer.

This stunning neo-classic will be checked over by the team and a few subtle and personal changes made to the bike. We’re excited to see the upgrades to the bike which Craig has chosen for the bike!

Keep a look out on the Bridge Classic Cars news page for more on the Ducati Cafe Racer soon!
