Bob Laishley has stepped down from his roles as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Caterham Cars.
Kazuho Takahashi, President and Founder of VT Holdings, the Japanese automotive group that acquired Caterham in April 2021, is taking over as CEO with immediate effect.
Laishley originally joined Caterham as Chief Strategic Officer before stepping into the CEO/COO position in June 2022. Under his leadership, Caterham completed the move to its new global headquarters and factory in Dartford, which is a key part of the brand’s future under VT Holdings.
Day-to-day operations at the Dartford facility will now be managed by Trevor Steel, who currently serves as both Chief Financial Officer and Operations Director.
“I would like to thank Bob, on behalf of everyone at Caterham, for his work over the last four years. He has played an important role in overseeing the move to our new global headquarters in Dartford and securing the long-term future of our iconic car.”
