At Bridge Classic Cars, every project that comes through the workshop doors has its own story. However, whatever the make, model, history, and condition of the vehicle, our goal remains exactly the same: to restore each one to the highest possible standard.
Obviously, that level of quality isn’t something that happens by accident. It comes from having the right people in the right place, and from doing as much of the work as we can under one roof. Bodywork, paint, mechanical, electrical, and interior trim, each stage is completed by our own specialists here in Suffolk. That is how we ensure consistency from start to finish.
Our trim shop is a big part of that process. It’s where a project starts to look like a car again, and everything starts to look clean, fresh, and like new.
The Bridge Classic Cars trim shop is on the second floor of our headquarters, above our main workshop. That means it is slightly removed from the rust and noise below, but still very much part of the same team.
Do You Want A Varied Role?
While the bodywork, paint, mechanics, and electrics are sorted downstairs, upstairs in the trim shop is where the interior comes together.
Being our trimmer is an incredibly varied job. One week might involve recreating the interior of an early Riley 9hp with traditional techniques; the next could be re-trimming the seats of a Ferrari Dino or Jaguar E-Type. Each project requires a different set of skills, from pattern making and foam shaping to leather cutting, sewing, and fitting. It’s not about mass production, it’s about one-off creativity.

Could You Work For Us?
We’ve built Bridge Classic Cars around the idea of doing almost everything in-house. It gives us full control over quality and allows every department to work closely with each other.
That’s also why we believe our trim department is such an important part of the business. A stunning interior can take a restoration from good to award-winning. And we’ve seen that first-hand. Our work on various Jensen 541s has been recognised with multiple awards, along with a wide range of other cars that have been acknowledged for their concours restorations.
Do You Want To Work For Us?
Bridge Classic Cars is a busy and ever-changing place to work. We’ve got multiple restorations running at any one time, from full nut-and-bolt rebuilds to sympathetic recommissions. Our workshop floor can have a 1960s British sports car alongside a pre-war saloon, a mid-engine Italian classic, and a 1980s icon all at once. It’s that variety that keeps it interesting. It’s a cliche but absolutely accurate…no two days are ever the same!
We also get access to cars that most people only ever see in museums or magazines. Some are rare, some are nostalgic, and all have stories attached. One of the most satisfying parts of the job is knowing that your work helps preserve those stories for future generations.

Can You Take The Lead?
Right now, our trim shop is ready for someone to make it their own. The space, tools, and projects are all in place; what we’re looking for is someone with the drive and skill to elevate the department even further. That doesn’t mean managing a team; it means having the confidence to take responsibility, plan work efficiently, and collaborate closely with the rest of our workshop.
This is a role for someone who enjoys independence but also values being part of something bigger. You’ll be working within an established, respected restoration business that’s built its reputation on doing things properly and treating every car as if it were our own.
It’s also a chance to put your name to some incredible work. When one of our restorations wins an award or gets featured in a magazine, it’s the result of every department doing their part, and the interior is always one of the things people notice.
Do You Have Incredibly High Standards?
We talk a lot about craftsmanship at Bridge Classic Cars. We have exceptionally high standards, pride, and respect for the cars we work on. The vehicles that come through our doors were built by skilled people decades ago, often by hand, and we believe they deserve to be treated with that same level of skill today.
Restoration isn’t easy. It takes patience, accuracy, and a huge amount of skill. But it’s also incredibly rewarding. Seeing a car that’s been off the road for decades roll out of the workshop again, knowing you’ve helped make that happen, is always special.

Are You Ready For More?
As we continue to grow, our goal remains the same: to be a workshop where every stage of a restoration can be completed to the highest possible level under one roof. Our trim shop is an important part of that process.
We’ve built a reputation that we’re proud of, not only through the quality of our work but also through the people who make it happen. From award-winning restorations to the day-to-day jobs that keep classic cars on the road, it’s a team effort.
For the right person, joining Bridge Classic Cars is the perfect opportunity to be part of a company that is growing, that values skill and attention to detail, and to help shape a department of an award-winning classic car restoration workshop.
