Part of the restoration of any classic car is ensuring that the shut lines, body lines and panel gaps are beautifully even – a skillset which we pride our selves on here at the Bridge Classic Cars restoation HQ. With the extensive welding and bodywork happening in the fabrication shop by our technician Greg this is meticulous and methodical task which takes precision and experience along with time. At this phase, Greg has been working on getting the boot lid of the car set just right into place on the backend of the car, gently and conservatively trimming sections and reshaping the new panels to fit the handbuilt German classic – making sure that the gaps are all even and straight before cleaning up any of his structural welds underneath and then rechecking for any movement or tweaking.
