The 1987 Maserati BiTurbo has been on the ramps here at HQ for our technician Will to carry on with getting this iconic 1980s twin-turbo coupe running as good as new.

‘Fit accumulator onto car, drill holes to bolt it down to, go through and test vacuume leaked to see if that is causing the issue with the boost actuator, individually test each vacuume and pressure line, set up smoke tester tonsmoke test as well, find vacuume leak on split hose, replace hose, test wastegates to see if they are opening when they should be, do research into pressure lines into the actuator, put the pressure lines the correct way round, go through and test components individually to see what could be cause the actuator fault, Refit tempriture sensors into correct place, research into what can be causing actuator fault, go though wiring to transducer and actuator making sure earth’s are good, Find transducer to be a common fault, remove transducer and see if a replacement can be found.’
