The Bridge Classic Cars team have been working on getting the 1973 Mercedes 250 ready for its new adventures. Our technician Jon has been tracking down a rough running issue – after much work and testing, the team have nailed down the issue.

”Look at running issue reported back to me. Remove spark plugs and clean. Regap and refit. Remove air filter and check carbs. Found front choke sticky and not sprung closed like it should when cold. Adjust choke mechanism and seems OK now. Pump throttle once and chokes now both on and start car. Runs fine on choke and fast idle. Leave for a few mins, revengune and chokes both disengage OK. Car sits and idles fine. Refit air filter. Check hot start all ok. Ready to go.”
