The Bridge Classic Cars team have been working on the 1968 MGC Roadster here at our restoration workshop. Our technician Steve has been installing a new DAB radio into the classic sports car with a Retrosound head unit – this also includes hands free phone handling. While sorting this out, Steve also managed to clean up some wiring in the centre console.

Fit new batteries. Batteries slightly different size, so cut wood and place in holes. Then place rubber strips in and fit batteries. Bend new hold downs to fit and secure. Connect and test. Fit new wiper blades. Drain oil and filter. Clean out filter housing and fit new filter. Fit new washer and refit sump plug. Fill with new oil and run up. Oil pressure good. Check and top up. Remove old stereo head unit. Prep for new one.

‘Finish fiting stereo and test. Refit battery cover and carpet.’
