The Bridge Classic Cars team have welcomed back an old friend to our Pettistree workshops – this absolutely charming 1949 MG YT. We finished the restoration of this post-war MG a few years ago but it has come in for a few repairs and a check over by the team.
‘The wiper motor was striped and wire repaired so the motor worked. The wipers were then tightened. The spot light was checked a fuse was blown. It was replaced but still the light didn’t work. The bulb was checked and found to be okay. A fault was traced to poor connections in the switch. The switch was cleaned and refiitted
New battery and fuel hose replaced as battery wouldn’t hold charge ant the fuel hose had developed a leak.’
