Our technician Jon has been hard at work at our Suffolk HQ on our 1977 Leyland Mini. The 5500 original mile Mini is in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop for Jon to get ready for its next adventure as a future competition car.
”Continue appraisal. Battery hold down bar and secure. Tighten terminals and fit cover. Check anti freeze and top up coolant. Raise and inspect. Remove all grease ripples. Clean and refit. Grease all points. Remove wheels and check brakes, all new. Clean and refit drums. Wire brush I side wheels and blow off underneath. Inflate all tyres and torque wheels. Refit wheel trims. Reglue boot lid seal. Remove hazard switch and strip. Clean contacts and refit. Test, all Indicators working fine now. Try to tighten column switches.”
























”Drill and fit screw to column switch to secure. Refit cowling. Put P1 fuel in and carry out road test, all OK.”





Alongside the mechanical work on the classic Mini, our restoration technicians have been busy cleaning down the underside of the car to prepare it for being undersealed.
