VETO – Non-Alcoholic Lager

VETO® is all about making better choices, for your health, your relationships, and the planet. The brand promotes living well and saying no to anything that holds you back, including alcohol.

Originally launched in 2020 as a plant-based food company, VETO® has since moved into the world of alcohol-free drinks. Their two lagers, PLAY and PAUSE, are the type of drinks that you can enjoy on a night out while still being able to drive and feel fit and healthy the next morning.

The founders, Justin and Matthias, met at a sober business networking event. Between them, they have 15 years of sobriety and over five decades of experience working in the drinks industry. After trying a lot of the alcohol-free beer on the market, they noticed that most of them were too heavy, too fizzy, or just not that great. So they set out to change that.

VETO® partnered with Chadlington Brewery in Oxfordshire, where the beers are brewed using spring water, solar power, and no chemicals. Even the wastewater is recycled in collaboration with Oxford University. Sustainability is built into the whole brewing process.

They also donate 15% of profits to charity. Their minimalist half-label design (a nod to their “less is more” mindset) makes the cans easy to recognise on the shelf, and their PLAY lager is the only alcohol-free beer out there that also contains caffeine.

We recently welcomed one of the founders, Justin, into The Classic Lounge at Bridge Classic Cars, as VETO® will be our chosen non-alcoholic drink option at our Summer BBQ on Sunday.
