Vauxhall’s GSE sub-brand is heading into a new electrified era.
As of today (Monday, 21st July 2025), GSE models will be fully electric. New cars, zero emissions – that is what we need right now!
The change to EV is being introduced with a new campaign and a short film called Three Letters, which shows off the updated GSE badge and sets the tone for what the brand calls “emotional” and “exhilarating” electric driving.

GSE, which stands for Grand Sport Electric, was reintroduced in 2022, initially with plug-in hybrid versions of the Astra, Astra Sports Tourer, and Grandland. The upcoming models will move beyond hybrid to full battery-electric powertrains.
Vauxhall has said that the electric GSE models won’t just be about clean and quiet driving, they’ll also deliver a drive that lives up to the “OMG! GSE” tagline. Alongside some attention-grabbing exterior design, the cars will feature chassis setups tuned for exciting drives, with stability in braking, cornering, and motorway driving.
It seems that there is a lot more to come from GSE!
