This beautiful 1963 Jaguar Mk2 2.4 has been handed to our restoration technician Jon to get ready for its next adventure as a future competition car. To begin with, Jon has had get a new inner piston on one of the nearside calipers of the classic Jaguar saloon. After that, he could bleed the system and check for it to hold pressure before the wheels can be put back on the car.

After swapping out the leaking water pump and reassembling the cooling system, Jon could keep moving onto the next jobs and then road test the car.
”Fit fan and pulley and secure. Adjust alternator belt. Refit grill. Refit radiator and secure. Fit hoses and then start up to meet sure runs OK and no beat squeal etc. Refill cooling system with my vacuum refill tool. Take outside and run up to temp. Visually check. Carry out road test. Handbrake still a little tight and steering wheel out go left. De adjust handbrake cable. Remove horn push and steering wheel. Straighten steering and tighten wheel. Refit horn push and centre badge. Test around yard OK.”
