The Bridge Classic Cars workshop team have been working their way through the list of jobs on the 1952 MG TD. The owner has reported a running issue with the car, so that has been Will’s first step. Before anything, Will had to drill out and fit a helicoil to the intake manifold.

After removing the carburettors to clean it was noticed the threads in the inlet manifold were not very good so the manifold was drilled out and helicoils inserted. remove carburettors and air filter manifold, begin to strip carburettors. Remove carburettor top hats and pistons, remove floats from float bowls, clean out green gunk from bloat bolws and scotch bright, scotch bright and clean up floats, scotch bright and clean up carburettor pistons and sand them with very fine grit scotch bright so they slide u and down the top hats freely, scotch bright and clean carburettor body, rebuild and fit to car.
