Sometimes its the smallest things that cause a mechanical headache. The 1965 Jaguar Mk2 3.4 which is currently in the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshop developed a small but frustrating wiring issue in the span of a couple of hours. Our workshop manager, John, drove the car out of our workshop for our media team to photograph but when they went to the car it would turn over but not fire up.

Our restoration technician Jon was then given the task of getting to the bottom of it. Jon removed the cover from the fuse block and checked it, and found power to the switch but not to the fuses. So, he traced it as far as he could and then made a jumper cable to see if it was a feed issue. When he jumped the power from the switch, the car would fire up – showing a power supply issue to the power block. Upon further inspection, Jon traced it back and found an issue with one of the shielded terminals which was replaced, retested and good to go.
