As the workshop team get ever deeper into the reassembly of the 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4, Ben has begun to work on getting all the small trims and chrome peices ready to go back onto the car as well as some of the more important bits like the fuel cap.
‘The chrome bits came back so I set about fitting the door handle. Could then fit the door cards. Cut out some stainless plates for the bonnet locators and polished. Also fitted the sill covers, had to fit new correct bsf riv nuts on new panel. Bolts arrived for fuel cap so could fasten that up. Ash try needed leather on face and had to make tang for the badge to attach to. Also mocked up interior handles.’
