Steve inspected our 1971 Triumph TR6 and identified significant wear in the valve train. His inspection revealed worn tappets and mushroomed valve tops, indicating the need for a new rocker shaft assembly. To address the valve damage properly, the cylinder head will also need to be removed so the valves can be replaced.
In addition to the mechanical inspection, Steve checked the fuel pressure and found it was below specification. The pressure measured only 75 psi, whereas it should have been 105 psi. He attempted to adjust the pressure using the valve located in the boot beneath the fuel tank, but the valve proved to be faulty and would not allow for any adjustment.
