Our Mercedes SL55 AMG was first registered on 1st December 2007, so is one of the later facelift R230 SL55s. That’s important because by this stage, Mercedes and AMG had really perfected what they were doing.
It’s powered by a 5.4-litre supercharged V8, the M113K, which, when it left the factory, produced around 500bhp, meaning 0 – 60mph took 4.5 seconds. You also need to remember that this is a luxury Mercedes roadster that cost over £100,000 when new (we know that because the original order form and invoice from Mercedes-Benz of Ipswich are still with the car).
Our SL55 is finished in Iridium Silver with black leather and was specified with the panoramic glass Vario roof, ventilated seats, and 19-inch AMG alloys.
