The paint and body team here at the Bridge Classic Cars HQ have been beginning their work on stripping down, inspecting and beginning to prepare the 1991 Jaguar XJS V12 ahead of its flat-paint respray. As with all paint work the team do, a thorough paint and body inspection is undertaken to check for areas of corrosion aside from the usual areas which these Jaguar GT cars are known for.

To get better access and make a better assessment of the car, the cars windows were removed for the team to be able to look at the relevant mounts, seals and gutterings of the car. With that, Adam has found a gew areas which will require attention through the car. These areas include the windscreen mounting surface, tops of doors, lower rear sills and a few other areas which the team will need to recitfy.

Adam has been carefully inspecting each and every angle and section of the car to highlight areas which will require carefully reworking and preparation. Working from the back to the front of the car, Adam has cleaned up any small areas of rust and treated them for quickly putting on a layer of prime to protect it from further corrosion. After all the areas have been checked, the fabrication team will be brought in to begin the neccessary repairs.
