Technician Chris stopped the paint on the engine cover before painting in wrinkle paint and sanding it down to expose the writing. The headlights were also sanded down with 800 1000 1500 3000 and 6000 sandpaper and then it was polished up.
Brian then refitted the plastic trims back into the car.
Now that the brake callipers and carriers have been painted, classic car technician Jonn has been refitting them to our 2005 Honda S2000.
Jonn also lubricated the pads and all sliders before bleeding all of the brakes. He then carried out a pressure check and topped up the brake fluid.
Monty has completed the weld repairs to the arch of the S2000.
Monty has started on the corrosion repairs on our S2000 this week. As you can see, the rear inner arch requires some fabrication and welding to correct the corrosion before the paint shop take control to make it all look lovely once again.

The Honda will now enter the paint booth and will have its final paint colour applied.
Our Honda S2000 is a modern classic from the turn of the millennia. Following on from our last update, James has been focusing on rebuilding the wheel arch that has been lost to corrosion and rust. James has also rebuilt and painted the boot lip which is hidden beneath trim as well as welding and spot welding areas that have suffered due to rust.
Matt has been repairing the bumper in the paint shop which was showing signs of stress fractures. Its previously been poorly repaired as Matt found excessive filler in it, meaning he had to strip it to bare plastic and apply dolphin glaze to repair it.

This 2000 Honda S2000 arrived today for some cosmetic TLC. With some paint chips and signs of rust, this little Honda just needs a small touch up and it’ll be ready to go. The perfect modern classic for summer cruising.
Our Honda’s TLC is mostly going to be concentrated around the wheel arches that need refurbishing.
