Our 2002 Ford Thunderbird has been in the paint shop. After its bumpers were primed and painted, other parts of the car received the same treatment before it was put back together again.

Repair work on our 2002 Ford Thunderbird
Our beautifully unique Ford Thunderbird had had a little knock on the front and rear bumper at some stage of it’s life so Mauro has carried out a lovely repair to it to make it look good again. The front bumper has been removed as well as the rear bumper, we’ve smoothed out the dinks before respraying.

Our friends at Wheelhouse Alloys recently delivered the wheels to our 2002 Ford Thunderbird.
Ford Thunderbird Fuel Pump
Since our 2002 Ford Thunderbird arrived at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, it has been cleaned and, recently John fitted a new fuel pump.
Thunderbirds are go…almost!
John’s still in the process of getting our Ford Thunderbird running but no luck so far. A brand new fuel pump is what we need so we have removing the existing to make sure we order up the correct replacement. Now we wait for the arrival…
Ford Thunderbird in need of some TLC
Welcome to Bridge Classic Cars! Our latest arrival is our 2002 Ford Thunderbird very much in need of some TLC. The car has been in dry storage for some time now and has made it’s way into our possession from the storage company. What do you think?
The Ford Thunderbird was manufactured and marketed by the Ford Motor Company as a personal luxury car from model years 1955 to 2005 (with a 1998–2001 hiatus), across 11 generations.
This model being from the 11th generation, the styling reverted to its original two-passenger personal convertible configuration. The eleventh-generation Thunderbird uses the Ford DEW platform also used by the Lincoln LS sedan (and the Jaguar S-Type); the Ford Mustang is loosely based on it.
With sales dropping significantly after its first model year, Ford discontinued the eleventh-generation Thunderbird after the 2005 model year; the final vehicle was manufactured on July 1, 2005.
From its introduction in 1955 to its final phaseout in 2005, Ford produced over 4.4 million Thunderbirds.

Working On A Thunderbird
Classic car technician Steve has been working on our 1956 Ford Thunderbird.
During his investigation, he found that the anti-roll bar bushes were cracked and perished. This was also the case with the power steering hose. Steve also found that the right-hand exhaust manifold was cracked and leaking.
Other issues that Steve noticed included the paint peeling off the sump and the rear shackle bushes being cracked and perished.
These issues will need to be resolved before this eye-catching classic car can get back out on the road.
Thunderbirds are go!
A 1956 Ford Thunderbird has just come into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.
The owner of this classic Thunderbird has brought the car to us to investigate and resolve a number of issues that they have been experiencing. Some of the work that will be completed on the vehicle includes replacing the starter motor, changing the spark plugs, modifying the battery box, and some small areas of paintwork.
As you can see from the images below, our 1956 Ford Thunderbird is a fantastic-looking car and the work being undertaken will make sure it stays on the road for as long as possible.
