A Movie And A Mini

On Saturday, we held our movie night at The Riverside Theatre in Woodbridge.

We teamed up with our local cinema to host a screening of the 1969 classic ‘The Italian Job’. The evening began at 7 pm when attendees parked their classic cars and spent some time admiring the other special vehicles that made the trip.

The A Listers was also open and drinks were available ready for the screening of the film at 7:45 pm.

One of the highlights of the evening was the live draw of our 1976 Morris Mini which was won by Dan Robinson with ticket number 3410.

We would like to thank everyone who attended for helping us all have a great time and, of course, congratulations to Dan on becoming the new owner of his very own classic Mini.

Still Enjoying Our Competition MGB

After he won our 1975 MGB GT V8 back in January, our good friend Steve is clearly still enjoying his classic car, and making good use of it, as you can see from his social media posts below.

It seems that Steve isn’t the only one who admires ‘Velma’ as the car is now known.

A Happy Winner

Earlier today, we delivered our 2009 Porsche Cayman S Sport to lucky winner Steven Wellard. Steven’s winning ticket number of 2496 was randomly selected during the live draw held on 23rd May 2023.

Steven has been playing with Bridge Classic Cars Competitions for several years and has a particular love for the MGs we have offered in the past. In fact, he is the Chairman of his local MG club and currently owns an MGB which, as you can see from the photos below, looks great next to his new Porsche.

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Steven on his win and we hope he enjoys his Porsche Cayman S Sport as much as he does his MGB.

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Daniel again and we hope he enjoys his very special Audi 100 Coupe S.

Our BRM Delivered

The lucky winner of our 1999 Rover BRM, Neil Owen, has a stronger connection to the car than most.

Neil’s late Grandfather was Sir Alfred Owen who, at the age of 21 became the Chief Executive of The Rubery Owen Group. After being run by his father up until his death, the Rubery Owen empire dominated the light steel industry in Britain for the first half of the twentieth century. Once Sir Alfred took over though, it expanded on a global scale.

In 1952, The Rubery Owen Group (under Alfred’s control) acquired the BRM Formula 1 team. The team was struggling but that was soon to change. Along with the team’s fortunes, the team name was also changed from BRM to the Owen Racing Organisation, however, the cars were still always known as BRMs.

Despite now picking up occasional international victories, Sir Alfred wanted more and even threatened to close the team down for good if success was not achieved. With the introduction of the new BRM P57, driver Graham Hill became the world champion with BRM also taking the constructors championship at the same time.

Sir Alfred Owen continued to sponsor the BRM team until his death in 1975. The team would ultimately come to an end just 2 years later in 1977.

Now Neil Owen is the new owner of our 1999 Rover BRM. It seems a fitting home for this car and is something of a homecoming to the family that kept BRM racing for so many years.

Neil was randomly selected as the winner of our BRM with his ticket number 1890 during the live draw held on 2nd March 2023. Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Neil again on winning the car and we are extremely happy it has gone to someone with such a deep connection to the vehicle.

Beastie Goes To Its New Home

This one-of-a-kind classic car was won in our live draw held on 23rd February 2023 when Stephen’s winning ticket number, 156, was randomly selected as the winner.

Despite it being a very cold and snowy day during the delivery, Beastie looks very much at home with Stephen and we are sure he will love this very special vehicle.

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Stephen again and we hope he enjoys Beastie as much as we did.

Coming To Collect Our Mini

Our 1989 Rover City Mini 1000 E was collected from the Bridge Classic Cars workshop today by lucky winner, Adam Hutchinson.

As Adam lives locally to us, we invited him to come and see us for a tour of the workshop and to see his Mini in person. It was great to see Adam meeting his classic Mini for the very first time and he certainly seemed extremely happy with it.

Adam won our 1989 Rover Mini City 1000 E in the live draw held on 16th February 2023. His ticket number, 3662, was chosen at random as the winner.

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Adam again and we hope he has lots of fun in his classic Mini.

Everyone here at Bridge Classics Car would like to congratulate James again – we hope you enjoy your new car!

Enjoying A DB9

Nick Jones was the lucky winner of our 2005 Aston Martin DB9 back in December last year. Since he took delivery of his new car, Nick has clearly been making the most of it, and recently sent us an update on how life as a DB9 owner has been going.

He has had bespoke luggage made for the Aston. It was made by Bagworld in Redditch and Nick is also getting a holdall made up too as there is enough room in the boot for a holdall to sit on top of the cabin bags he had previously made. A personalised number plate has also been added.

Nick told us that he is thoroughly enjoying the car and still can’t believe that it only cost him £15! Now that we have had two double winners, Nick continues to enter in the hope that he might one day be our third!

We love hearing from our winners and it’s always great to hear that they are loving the vehicles they won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.

Thank you to Nick for sharing the below images and update with us, we are very happy to see the DB9 is being appreciated and enjoyed as it should.

Delivering Our Harley-Davidson

Today, we delivered our 2008 Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster to lucky winner Sarah Janney.

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Sarah again on winning, and we hope she enjoys the latest addition to her garage.

Prepping For Paint

Our 1979 Austin Morris Mini 850 has been in the Bridge Classic Cars paintshop with classic car technician Mauro.

Our classic Mini was rubbed down and had primer applied in preparation for it to be painted very soon.

It won’t be too much longer before our 1979 Austin Morris Mini 850 is fully painted and, eventually, it will go on to be a competition car through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.

2 Winners Found

Last night, we held the live draw of our 1994 Rover 216 Cabriolet and our 1989 Rover Mini City 1000 E.

As always, it was a lot of fun finding out who the lucky winners were. The excitement levels are even higher when multiple winners are drawn on the same night.

Drawing Our 1994 Rover 216 Cabriolet

James Blocksidge was the winner of our Rover 216 with ticket number 1916. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get hold of James on the phone during the draw but, don’t worry, he will be finding out very soon that he is the new owner of our 1994 Rover 216 Cabriolet.

Drawing Our 1989 Rover Mini City 1000 E

The winning ticket number in the draw for our Mini City was 3662 which belonged to Adam Hutchinson. Amazingly, when Molly spoke to Adam on the phone, he said that he had only purchased his ticket around 40 minutes before the draw started!

Congratulations

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate James and Adam on becoming the owners of two very cool classic cars. We are sure you will have a lot of fun with them!

Delivery of both cars is coming very soon…

Delivering Our 1975 MGB GT V8 At ITFC

The lucky winner of our 1975 MGB GT V8, Steven Biggs, is a big fan of our local team, Ipswich Town Football Club.

When the time came to deliver this beautiful classic car to Steven, we couldn’t think of anywhere better than the home of ITFC – Portman Road!

We had a great time handing over the keys to Steven on the club’s FanZone pitch (and he seemed to enjoy it too).

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to thank ITFC for helping us out with this delivery and, of course, congratulations again to Steven. We are sure you will have a lot of fun in your MGB V8.

Our 1964 Rover P5 Coupe Delivered

We recently delivered our 1964 Rover P5 Coupe to lucky winner Christopher Crader.

Christopher won this beautiful classic car through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions with ticket number 4654 in our live draw held on 12th January 2023.

As he explained to Molly, when she called him during the live draw, 2022 was a challenging year for Christopher so we hope that winning our Rover P5 is a sign of very positive things to come in 2023.

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Christopher again and we hope you enjoy being the proud owner of this true British classic.

Highlights Of The Second Delivery For Our Double Winner

Last week, we told you about the extremely lucky Roger Woodcock who has been fortunate enough to win 2 classic cars through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.

This is a story where a photograph simply isn’t enough, so Molly and the team took a trip to visit Roger and watch first-hand as he took delivery of his 1987 Volvo 240 GL.

The Volvo looks great parked next to his previous win of our 1975 MGB GT V8.

As you can see in the video, Roger can’t quite believe his luck that he has won 2 classic cars with us.
