Just Arrived – 1972 Rover P6 3500S

We recently welcomed another new arrival to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop in the form of our 1972 Rover P6 3500S.

This is the manual and most sought-after version of this classic car and it was truly advanced for its time.

With suspension and bodywork superior to anything else on the market at the time of its release, our P6 3500S really is an impressive vehicle.

Not only is it a luxurious car but it is also fast too so this is certainly one vehicle that is proving very popular in the workshop.

Our 1972 Rover P6 3500S takes its place as part of our collection of competition cars that will be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions very soon.

Before entry opens, it will go through a full inspection and assessment with our team of classic car technicians. Once they are satisfied, it won’t be long before a new owner is found at one of our live draws early next year.

1964 Rover P5 Coupe – The Assessment Begins

As it recently arrived at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, our 1964 Rover P5 Coupe needs to undergo a thorough inspection and assessment from our experienced team of classic car technicians.

Paul has begun his initial assessment of this beautiful classic car as preparations begin for it to be offered as a competition car through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.

Our 1964 Rover P5 Coupe impressed Paul as, from first impressions, it looks to be in good shape. However, Paul did notice that, despite the car being well cared for and maintained, it appears that one of the brake shoes was fitted incorrectly.

This has now been resolved and the inspection and assessment of our 1964 Rover P5 will continue until Paul and the rest of the workshop team are completely satisfied that it is ready for someone to win.

Just Arrived – 1964 Rover P5 Coupe

Another new arrival has made its way to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop. The latest addition to the collection is our 1964 Rover P5 3-litre Coupe.

It will soon undergo a thorough inspection and assessment by our classic car technicians before it can move on to the next stage of its journey.

The current plan is for this to be a competition car over at Bridge Classic Cars Competitions so, if you like the look of this impressive classic car, keep an eye on the competitions website for your chance to win it.

A Look Back On Our 1999 Rover BRM

Our 1999 Rover BRM may have only been with us for a few months but it has come a long way since its arrival at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.

Rust was an issue for this car. Our team of classic car technicians worked hard to find all of the affected areas and resolve them appropriately. Once the rust was a thing of the past, the car went into our paint and was primed and ultimately painted.

We were fortunate enough to locate an original set of Rover BRM wheels that have been refurbished and fitted onto the car.

The difference in having the original wheels back on our BRM was massive and certainly goes a long way in making this car one that stands out.

In addition to the refurbished wheels being fitted, our 1999 Rover BRM has also been thoroughly cleaned and new badges have been applied. As you can see from the photos below, our BRM is looking incredible and will be a fantastic car for our collection.

A Leak Found And Fixed

Classic car technician Jon has been investigating a leak on our 1972 Rover 4500S. The leak was found to be coming from a hose to the radiator.

Jon tightened all the hoses and checked the pressure in them too. While he was working on this eye-catching classic car, he also looked at the intake pipes. The ends of these were cut off and refitted to the air filter.

No leaks are coming from our special Rover now so it seems to be ready to get back out on the road very soon.

Primed And Ready

After undergoing recent work to resolve rust issues, our 1999 Rover BRM has had its primer applied and is now ready for its top coat of colour.

The car spent some time in our paint shop with classic car technician Chris as he prepared it for its primer before applying it too. As you can see from the photos below, lots of care and attention is given to this type of task to ensure high-quality paint work once work on the car has been finished.

Resolving Rust Issues

Our 1999 Rover BRM had some issues with rust when it first came into the Bridge Classic Cars Workshop.

The team have been working to resolve these issues recently. Now we have the original BRM wheels back with us too, the car is making good progress through its restoration journey.

Our 1960 Rover 80 Is For Sale

Our 1960 Rover 80 came into our workshop after we took it on as one of our current projects from a previous customer. As much as we think this car has huge amounts of potential and will very likely go on to be a beautifully restored car, the time has come for it to leave us and move on to a new owner, as our workload is too full to complete it ourselves.

There is some rust on the front nearside wing but, other than that, the car is complete and was running as it should when the workshop team was working on it previously.

All the details you need about the car can be seen on MyClassics.co.uk, where the car is listed for sale.

Original Wheels Refurbished And Back In The Workshop

Our 1999 Rover BRM arrived at the Bridge Classic Cars Workshop with the incorrect aftermarket wheels fitted. After we were able to source a set of original BRM wheels, we sent them off to Wheelworx to be refurbished ready to be fitted onto the car.

The newly refurbished wheels have just arrived back at the workshop and they are looking just as good as we thought they would.

Having the original wheels will go a long way in bringing this classic car back to all of its former glory. We are really excited to see them on the car and we look forward to the first drive with a set of original wheels on this classic Rover.

Just Arrived – 1972 Rover 4500S

Our new 1972 Rover 4500S has arrived at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.

From the photos we had seen, and from talking to the previous owner, we knew that it would be a beautiful car to look at. We were surprised at just how good it actually looks face-to-face though.

The new addition will be inspected and assessed by our team of classic car technicians. For now, it looks like it might have found a place in our own personal collection, but, whatever happens, the future is looking bright for this beautiful classic car.

On The Way – A Classic Rover

Every now and again, we find a classic car that just catches everyone’s attention. Our new 1972 Rover 4500S is one of those cars and we are very excited to hear that it is now on its way to our Suffolk workshop.

We understand it is a previous winner of several concourse awards, has been featured in multiple publications and is well known in P6 circles.

The almond colour and beautiful interior give this classic car an impressive look and feel, and we really can’t wait for it to arrive very soon!

Piece of the Puzzle – Original Wheels Sourced for the 1999 Rover BRM

The Bridge Classic Cars team have sourced a key piece of the puzzle in our 1999 Rover BRM which arrived at our Suffolk HQ recently.

The office team have tracked down and sourced an original set of BRM wheels for the car. The team have found these to replace the wrong aftermarket wheels which are currently fitted to the car.

The wheels will go off to our friends at Wheelworx to be completely refurbished to better than new condition.
