Morgan 4/4 – 1000 Miles From New

Our extremely low mileage 2011 Morgan 4/4 is now live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website.

With just over 1000 miles on the clock, this car is essentially brand new. Low-mileage vehicles, particularly those as desirable as the Morgan 4/4, are highly sought after in the collector car market. The minimal wear and tear ensures that the car remains as close to its original state as possible, which significantly enhances its appeal and potential value.

To give the lucky winner the opportunity to keep mileage low on the car, 12 months of free storage at our secure storage facility is included with the car. If this option is taken, the car will be kept in a Carcoon โ€“ a climate-controlled bubble to ensure that it is kept in optimal conditions, protecting it from the elements and maintaining its condition.ย  By keeping the car in a stable environment like this, its integrity and value are preserved.

  • Extremely low mileage covering just 1400 from new
  • 1.6-litre engine with 5-speed manual gearbox
  • Finished in Sports Black with Saddle Brown leather interior
  • Sports recline seats
  • Sigma dash
  • 12-months free climate-controlled storage included

Inspection And Repairs

Jonn has been looking after our 2006 Morgan 4/4. His notes are:

Carry out inspection. Strip clean and inspect brakes. Inflate tyres and torque all wheels. Remove auxiliary belt and clean water pump pulley of rust. Refit auxiliary belt. Drain coolant. Refill with new anti freeze. Lubricate steering column universal joints. Glue pedal rubbers back on. Remove washer bottle and clean out. Blow out washer pipes and jets. Refit bottle and top up and test washers, ok. Bend tangs inside cigarette lighter to get element to stay in.

Exhaust And PDI

Jonn has been completing his work on our 1972 Morgan 4/4.

He has: Fit new exhaust tailpipe. Mock fit and align mount. Mark position and remove. Centre pipe larger bore. Cut slots in end of centre pipe and refit tailpipe. Clamp up centre joint and check. Remove and add sealer to pipe and refit. Secure mount at rear and tighten clamp. Run and test, ok. Finish pdi.

Carry out road test. All seems ok when warmed up. Check anti freeze, zero. Drain some coolant and top up with anti freeze. Run and test.

New Roof Panel

The old roof panel on our 1972 Morgan 4/4 was badly damaged and beyond repair. The hood was also very tight, making it hard to put up, especially on your own. Lydia inserted a new panel and added an inch onto the depth, making it much easier to put onto the hood frame now.

A Modern Morgan

We recently welcomed our 2011 Morgan 4/4 into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.

As much as we love a classic Morgan, this modern take is certainly a fantastic nod to the older versions.

With just over 1000 miles on the clock, this is one car that we are excited to add to our personal collection.

A Morgan Arrives

We have recently welcomed our 1971 Morgan Plus Four into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.

This will join our ever-growing collection of competition cars for Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, once it has gone through its initial workshop inspection and assessment.

The last Morgan competition car proved to be very popular so we are looking forward to giving you another opportunity to win one equally as beautiful.

Win Our Morgan

Entry for our 1969 Morgan 4/4 1600 is now open!

With only 2 former keepers and undergoing a complete overhaul in 1988, our Morgan 4/4 has recently had its wire wheels refinished in silver from their previous red colour.

Someone will win our 1969 Morgan 4/4 1600 at 9:00 am on 16th May 2023, so make sure you get your tickets from the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website to be in with a chance of becoming the new owner of this stunning classic car.

Wheels Removed For Painting

After putting it to a vote on the Bridge Classic Cars Facebook page, it was decided that the wheels on our 1969 Morgan 4/4 1600 should be painted silver instead of keeping them their current red colour.

The wheels have now been removed from our classic Morgan and they will soon be back on the car looking very different in their new colour scheme.

As a future competition car, it was great to put a decision like this to a public vote and we look forward to getting the freshly painted wheels back on the car very soon.

Another New Arrival

Our 1969 Morgan 4/4 1600 has just arrived at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop. It comes from just 2 previous owners and has covered a little under 88,000 miles.

Back in 1988, it was subject to an extensive restoration which included a new chassis. The engine was overhauled in 1999. Since then, this stunning Morgan has had new woodwork, new wings, and a repaint. Its 1600cc Kent engine and 4-speed transmission keep our Morgan 4/4 driving smoothly on the road even after all of these years.

We are looking forward to seeing our 1969 Morgan 4/4 1600 eventually leave the workshop and get back out on the road where it belongs.

Details – Inspecting and Servicing the 1964 Morgan 4/4

The technicians in the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshop at our Suffolk HQ have been busy inspecting and servicing the 1964 Morgan 4/4 in with us.

The team have begun the service on the classic Morgan, this also involved the inspection and adjustment of the drum brakes.

Then, the team began to look into a couple of issues noted on the car by its owner. Firstly, the team looked into an issue with the car starting. Although some of the connections were slightly loose from the battery, the team have put on order several new parts for the ignition system to try and fix the issue.

Along with that, the team found a split radiator hose in the car.

When the new pieces arrive and are fitted to the car, the team can begin the process of reinstalling and retesting the car to make sure it starts consistently and perfectly each time.

Running Rough – Running Issue on a 1964 Morgan 4/4

This beautiful 1964 Morgan 4/4 has been in with us at Bridge Classic Cars for a couple of issues.

Most notably is the rough running from the 1600cc engine. After inspection, our in-house technician Ady discovered there was an issue with the manifold that was causing the exhaust to blow and therefore the engine to run poorly.

With this information, we managed to source a replacement manifold for the car and fit it. However, the replacement manifold didn’t quite line up with the threaded hole on the cylinder head. So, carefully Ady elongated the holes to allow it to bolt up while also keeping the gaskets perfectly in place to achieve the correct seal.

After this had been done and the manifold connected back up to the exhaust system. Our in-house team went through the entire system from engine to exhaust box to check everything was working exactly as it should on the Morgan.

Morgan 4/4 Arrival

This 1992 Morgan 4/4 has come in for a service and some amends such as a new exhaust, brakes to be checked, drain oil out of the differential, lubricate parts and address a bottom hose leak.
