November 21, 2024 2:02 pmTony’s had a busy week on the road this week. As I sit here writing this he is currently heading up the A65 on his way to the north of Scotland for the weekend to collect 5 (potentially 6) classic motorcycles.
But earlier in the week he delivered the incredible 1992 Rover Mini Italian Job to one very happy Brian. Brian has been waiting patiently for the winning car as we discovered a slight vibration during the Pre Delivery Inspection and we did not want him to have the car until we had resolved the issue.
James accepted delivery of his 1982 Bedford HA van. Although James resides some distance from us here in Suffolk he has a vehicle storage facility close to our door so the journey we were expecting to have ended up a few hundred miles shorter. James is an avid collector of classic cars and we are lead to believe this win is the 16th classic he has in his collection. Enjoy the car James.
But the Alfa Romeo, recently won by double winner Lee is staying with us in our Hangar for a little while as Lee prepares his home for the new arrival. Lee would rather not see his Alfa sitting on the driveway whilst his building works continues so has instantly opted to have the vehicle dry stored with us and we expect to rearrange the delivery for early May.
…and it’s a beauty! Our 1000 mile 2011 Morgan 4/4 is now safely tucked away at our new storage facilities. As well as a larger space for car storage we now have a room dedicated to the storage of motorcycles. Our secure location is based in the heart of the Suffolk countryside but transport to and from any UK location is available. If you wish to discuss your storage needs please feel free to get in touch.
Over the last week, we’ve welcomed two loads of cars to our Suffolk HQ to be safely put into storage with ourselves.
The first batch belong to longtime friend of Bridge Classic Cars, Karl. His classic sports cars, classic Jaguar and Land Rover were unloaded after being transported by EM Rogers to our workshops to await transit to our secure storage facility.
After being carefully unloaded, the cars were inspected and prepared for the next step in their storage journey.
Then a few days later, we welcomed a pair of classic cars which had made their way over to us from Europe for a customer. Again, the team at EM Rogers Transport handled the long-distance move before the cars were checked and then loaded up by the Bridge Classic Cars team for their journey to our storage facility.
The classic Triumph 2500TC as well as the beautiful patina’d Fiat 1500 will join the ranks of the other stunning and cared for classics in our storage space.
A stunning 1973 Ferrari Dino has gone into our secure storage facility.
Simply having a car like a Ferrari Dino go into storage with us is exciting enough but, this one has been featured in Classic Cars Magazine in the 1990s too which makes it extra special.
This eye-catching classic will remain in storage with us until there is an opportunity to move it into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop so our skilled team of technicians can get to work on some areas in need of repair.
At the weekend, some of the team from Bridge Classic Cars spent time at our secure vehicle storage facility, The Hangar, located at Bentwaters Parks. While they were there, they were extremely busy moving things around to create more space for vehicle storage purposes.
While things were being moved around, the Hangar was cleaned too.
We have seen a big increase in customers contacting us wanting to securely store their vehicle/s for extended periods of time. As a result, more storage space was needed and that is exactly what has happened.
More carcoons mean more room for more classic cars to be stored!
Yesterday, we welcomed a new car into our secure storage facility, The Hangar. The 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE will be staying with us for a while before its owner is ready for its return.
It will join a wide range of cars currently being stored with Bridge Classic Cars so it will have plenty of company while it is with us.
Our award-winning 1960 Jensen 541S is safe and secure at our storage facility, The Hangar.
It is being kept in a Carcoon which will keep the car in a protective environment and will keep the air conditions around the vehicle as good as they can possibly be. Inside the Carcoon, the air is continuously circulated and the quality of air is kept extremely high to ensure our 541S stays in show-winning condition.
After undergoing some work while back with us, the time has come for this beautiful classic car to sit safely and securely until its owner is ready to take it out again.
As you can see from the photos below, even in a Carcoon, our 1960 Jensen 541S looks as good as ever!
The Bridge Classic Cars storage facility, The Hangar, received some new residents yesterday.
These classics belong to a good friend of Bridge Classic Cars, Karl. Karl won our 1957 Triumph TR3A as part of our Bridge Classic Cars Competitions. Karl is having some work done on his house so has had his classics sent up to us here in Suffolk to be cared for in our Hangar.
They’re all now covered up, ready and waiting for their owner to welcome them home.

June 16, 2022 12:44 pmThe wonderful 2015 Ford Mustang GT which has been stored at our secure storage facility, The Hangar, over the winter is heading home for the summer months to be enjoyed by its owner.
The car has been with us for a few months during the wet, cold months at our classic and collectable car storage location where it has been looked after and maintained by the team in preparation for the dawn of summer to come. Now, with that day finally here. The car was brought out of storage to be cleaned, prepared and ready for its owner to collect.

January 12, 2022 8:54 amThe Hangar welcomed its latest resident. This unique 1970 Bristol 411.
This car is being stored with us at our safe, secure and private storage facility, The Hangar, while it awaits its time at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop in Pettistree. This car has been acquired by ourselves for a customer who lives in Europe. This car will be taken to the workshops and some very special jobs to be carried out on this rare piece of British motoring.
The car itself is in stunning condition. The dark green paintwork is bright and even across its long elegant body. The interior is finished in vibrant red leather which has some marks that only add to its character and story. Overall, this is a stunning piece of automotive history which we are honoured to store and work on at Bridge Classic Cars.

December 3, 2021 4:38 pmWe have welcomed the latest resident of our classic car storage facility, The Hangar, here at Bridge Classic Cars. The newest addition to the storage facility is this absolutely incredible 1973 Saab 96V4 Rally Car.
This particular car will be cared for at The Hangar until such time when it will be bought over to the workshop to have some jobs done. October 29, 2021 9:13 amThere are certain things that get handed down through the generations. Something sentimental that have a certain connection to a person or place. This is true with his fabulous 1959 MGA Twin Cam that we currently have at Bridge Classic Cars for storage.
We are looking after the car for a customer at our Bentwaters storage facility for a while. This car was originally owned by the customer’s father who at one time was the manager of the Chevron racing team. A nice connection between Bridge Classic Cars and Chevron was the recent 1972 Chevron B20 Formula 2 car we auctioned on Collecting Cars.
This beautiful pale blue Twin Cam car has been rebuilt and restored from the ground up. It also appears to have had somewhat of competition history, with several newspaper cuttings from club races. The current owner has sent over some wonderful images of the recommission that was undertaken on the car to show the extent of what has been completed on the car.
Here they are in the gallery below:
Our newly finished Triumph TR6 and its friend, the Tundra 1975 MGB have been stored up in Bentwaters whilst we work on the third in this trio, a Beverly Hills Jaguar E-Type that’s in for a full 180 transformation. All three cars are owned by the same clients, making it an exciting set of projects. With these two tucked away in our Hanger at Bentwaters, we can get cracking on the Jaguar.
Here at Bridge Classic Cars, we like to give you all an incite into what goes on behind closed doors. We often show you the main workshops and restorations, as well as a sneak peak into the production process for live draws with Charlotte, but we rarely take a look at our hanger itself. Our hanger is an unsung hero with an interesting past…
Up at RAF Bentwaters, we’ve got our own hanger. Originally a military base, Bentwaters run as an active American airbase from 1942 until 1993. Now home to multiple businesses and a museum, Bentwaters is a functioning business park with a very visible history. It is home Europe’s longest air strip and feels like a step back in time with many old fighter jets and military vehicles dotted around the base.
You may have also heard of RAF Bentwaters thanks to a mysterious UFO sighting in 1980 which has made the location popular with tourists and alien enthusiasts. The sighting took place in the surrounding forest and is known as the Rendlesham Forest incident which has gone down in history as the UK’s most famous UFO sighting and is known worldwide.
With the base commanding its place in British history, what better spot to store and film classic cars. We offer storage solutions for clients who need a secure and dry location to store their beloved motors. We offer Carcoons, plug-in batteries and regular cleaning.
We also store our own cars in here as they wait to come in for restorations or have been completed and need photographing and storing before finding their new home. We host our live draws from the Hanger but we also use Bentwaters as the regular backdrop to our photoshoots and videos. You might recognise the familiar pine-clad backdrop and clear open roads.
You may also notice a certain rare Francis Barnett which we currently have up for sale. This bike was originally Craigs so we’ve had it safely tucked away at the hanger for a few months however he’s decided to part ways with it and let someone else enjoy the timeless beauty of this bike.
This stunning 1997 Aston Martin DB7 has been sat in storage up at our specialist hanger at RAF Bentwaters. Today it came in for a general service and check up.
This model is particularly rare as its a manual transmission whereas most of these models are automatic. The car was passed down to the current owner after previously belonging to the customers late father.
Our specialist classic car technician Tom has started the check-up today by replacing the oil, oil filter and spark plugs. Tom will also be checking the gearbox, differential and brakes among other elements. We aim to carry out a thorough service and refurbishment of this Aston Martin, leaving it healthy and new afterwards.
