New Year’s Car Meet

Thank you to all of you who turned out to attend our New Year’s Car Meet on Sunday, it was a cold but dry morning and we were astounded by the variation in cars. We had nearly 200 visitors with a variety of cars, some over a century old to modern daily drivers.

The Atelier Bar was open for hot drinks and pastries and we offered bacon sandwiches with delicious bacon from E W Revett & Sons Butchers, based just down the road in Wickham Market, and fresh bread from our friends at The Bakehouse Bakery Woodbridge.

Events like this display the comradery amongst the local classic car community with people swapping stories and advice about their experience with classic and modern cars.

A Successful Sunset Meet

Last night, we hosted the second Sunset Classic Car and Bike Meet at Bridge Classic Cars.

On the hottest day of the year so far, we were treated to a beautiful evening with a glorious sunset, warm weather, and around 100 car and bike enthusiasts. Together we enjoyed food, drink, music, and a huge range of cars and bikes that spanned multiple decades, makes and models.

The team here would like to say thank you to everyone who joined us last night, it was great to see so many new faces, as well as some old friends too!

As summer draws to a close and classic cars start to go away for the colder months, it was a great night to mark show season slowly coming to an end.

However, our events are still ongoing so, if you’d like to come and spend some time with us, we hope to see you soon. Our next event is the first-ever Bridge Bike Meet where someone will win our 1997 Yamaha Virago 750 completely free. Simply by attending, you will be entered into the draw and have the chance to drive away on your very own new bike.

Classics At Glemham 2023

On Sunday 3rd September, Classics at Glemham at Glemham Hall. took place. The event was aimed at all the family and featured a car show with a huge range of classic cars, military vehicles, commercial vehicles, motorbikes and more.

At Classics at Glemham 2023, you could see:

  • a wide variety of classic and interesting vehicles
  • car club stands and exhibits
  • classic motorcycles, cafe racers and trikes
  • vintage buses and coaches
  • classic commercial vehicles
  • food and drink
  • live music
  • children’s entertainment
  • auto jumble

Classics at Glemham began in 2019 and was something of an immediate success. Helping to raise funds for charities, this really is a car show worth attending. Unfortunately, the Bridge Classic Cars team were unable to attend the 2023 show but plans are in place to be at next year’s event. We hope to see you there!

Concours of Elegance 2023

Over the weekend, one of the most prestigious car shows in the world took to the palace grounds of Hampton Court to celebrate the most unique, rare and beautiful pieces of machinery the world has ever seen – The Concours of Elegance 2023.

From the moment you stepped foot through the east gate into the palatial gardens, automotive history burst out from every corner and on the perfectly manicured lawns. Cars of such historic note that they have become myths, only to be viewed in the printed pages of books and magazines. But yet here they were, within arms reach. Their flawlessly polished and presented paintwork able to be fogged up by the heavy breathing of petrolheads who had taken this pilgrimage.

Everything from one of only a handful of Mk2 Ford GT40s (the road-going version of the racer, the Mk1) to a fleet of XK120s, 140s, 150s and E-Types flanked the medieval brick walls that ran the perimeters of the palace. But in front of them, over a century of automotive history lay bare for all to see, hear and experience.

Beautifully restored Lamborghini Miura’s, battle scarred all original Jaguar C-Types and Blower Bentley’s were rowmates with the original 1899 Piretti-Bugatti which even came with its original wooden crate next to its brothers, a Type 57 Atalante and a Type 59 unrestored racer. Only at the Concours of Elegance could these machines be brought together as all of the 90 cars on display had been personally invited to attend because of their importance in classic car history.

If it had just stopped there, this still would have been the greatest display that I had ever seen. But, nestled under the branches of a listing oak tree lay what can only be seen in the fever dreams of the most ardent of classic car fans.

These weren’t just some of the best classic cars I had ever seen, these were THE best. On a financial note, the first 5 cars in this row would have a combined value of over £80,000,000 and I was within inches of these achingly beautiful hand built objects d’art.

4 of them well and truly stuck out to me. These 4 to be specific.

1954 Jaguar D-Type Prototype recently restored by the craftspeople at DK Engineering to exactly as it would have left Browns Lane ahead of testing. A car driven by the greats such as Dewis, Hamilton and Hawthron. The only words that can describe it as are ”life changing” in that something with so much story, actually lives and breathes.

There was all manner of multi-million pound metal as far as the eye could see. Bugatti 57S Atlante’s, Ferrari 275’s, Countaches, Rolls Royces, Porsche’s you name it. But, one of the most rare beasts just stood there next to one of the most important sports cars in history but first, let’s talk about the White One.

A Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the most sought-after and highly prized pieces of the classic car world. In fact, I would go as far as to say they transcend being a machine and become object d’art. In total, just 36 of these cars were made for the 1962/1963 season to represent the Scuderia and its affiliated privateer teams. The tales of these cars passed into legend, whether it be through certain drivers or just because of their rarity. These cars will openly trade for over £30m+ so just to see one in the wild was beyond far out. Oh, and it was truly stunning.

Possibly one of the most beautiful cars to have been penned by Giotto Bizarrini paired with the elegant violence of the majestic Colombo 3-litre V12, it is completely understandable how something like this is mentioned in the same breathe as paintings by the masters.

As if just this car on its own wasn’t enough, it was flanked either side by cars that make grown men weak at the knees. But the car to the left of the 250GTO was particularly important to us for several reasons and part of the reason that we paid for the ticket and made the effort to go all the way south just to see when it was announced it was going to be there.

It is CSX2001.

CSX2001 is the first production Shelby Cobra to be built. Built in July of 1962, CSX2001 and delivered to one of the first customers located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The car was enjoyed for a little while before being brought back and chopped in against a brand new Porsche.

It was then purchased by ‘Lucky’ Casner – who basically founded the American arm of the Maserati factory race team. Because of that, CSX2001 was converted into full race duties for upcoming races. Once the conversion was complete it was ready to hit the track but one thing lead to another and CSX2001 was sold to French driver Jean Marie Vincent ahead of the 1964 24 hours of Le Mans but it would never compete that year. Between 1964 and 1965, the car would be raced throughout Europe by Jean Marie including the Tour de France, 1000kms de Paris and several others.

The car was then upgraded into 1964 specification for the Cobras. The gnarly 289ci V8 was dropped in the front along with that gorgeous set of Halibrands which required the aluminium flares to be sank into the body. Oh, and it has rack and pinion steering rack installed in it by AC Cars here in the UK.

In 1966 it was sold to another Frenchman and continued to be raced throughout Europe.

In 2006, it was bought by petrolhead extraordinaire Bruce Meyer who is the president of the Petersen Museum in LA and an eminent collector of significant road and race cars in his own right.

To celebrate the restoration of CSX2001 in its new black paintwork, Bruce rallied the car to Budapest as part of its shakedown.

In the same row as CSX2001 was another piece of myth, it wore the prancing horse on its nose and again I never thought I’d get the chance to ever see this car in the flesh.

This particular 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider is not like the others. It was owned by French actor Alain Delon and was actually rediscovered in a French barn along with 60 other rare classics before being recommissioned and brought back to life.

The most famous of its siblings is of course the James Coburn car but Delon’s car still reached an impressive $18.5m when it went across the auction block after its reawakening in Paris around 10 years ago. It has always worn this number as well, in period photos (some of which included Delon and Jane Fonda arriving on set for the film ‘Les Fellins’ it still has the number 4452 on its plate.

A beautiful piece of not only Ferrari history but classic car history in general and by the looks of things, the pride and joy of its new owners collection and to be honest, a bit of privilege to get to take photos of.

Also to celebrate the 100 years of Le Mans, Concours of Elegance had put together a very special display of Le Mans winning cars. The special things being that these cars hadn’t just won the worlds toughest endurance race once, but back it up with a double win. Not the same model of car which is common place in modern endurance racing but the same chassis with back to back wins.

Cars like the 1929 and 1930 winning Bentley ‘Old Number One’, the 1952 Merecedes W194, 1968 and 1969 Le Mans Ford GT40 (in full Gulf livery), the 1963 and 1964 Le Mans winning Ferrari 275P as well as the 1974 Matra MS670B driven by the legendary pairing of Henri Pescarola and Gerard Larousse.

It was an absolute pleasure to be able to attend an event such as this in such a beautiful setting. It was also a true petrolheads honour to even be around these machines and soak up the atmosphere and history. Guaranteed, its already on my calendar for 2023.’

Nick attended this event with his side project, Caster & Camber. To see more of this project and more of his work check them out on Instagram and Facebook.

East Coast Japanese Cars & Coffee

On Sunday, Nick attended the East Coast Japanese Cars & Coffee event at the Suffolk Aviation Museum.

While there, Nick took some incredible photos which he has been kind enough to share with the rest of the team here at Bridge Classic Cars.

Nick said that he had a great time at the event and, as probably the biggest car nut in the workshop, it was the perfect place for him to spend his weekend away from classic cars – surrounded by even more cars!

If you’d like to see the full gallery of Nick’s photos and a whole load more automotive content, you can find him on Facebook and Instagram.

The Festival of Classic and Sports Cars

As the primary sponsor of The Festival of Classic and Sports Cars at Helmingham Hall, we found yesterday’s event to be an incredible experience that allowed car enthusiasts and families alike to celebrate and enjoy a huge collection of automotive design and history.

Hosted within the picturesque grounds of Helmingham Hall, The Festival of Classic and Sports Cars proved to be a big success. Despite the unpredictable and ever-changing weather, we were lucky enough to enjoy several spells of warm sunshine with only a couple of short (but rather heavy) downpours.

On the Bridge Classic Cars stand, we displayed a range of classic cars including our very special 1968 Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5 which is available to win in our biggest ever competition to date.

Highlights of The Festival Of Classic And Sports Cars

  • Diverse Collection Of Cars: Visitors to the show got to see an eclectic range of classic and sports cars. They were also treated to the beautiful cars being displayed and driven up the stunning driveway of the hall gardens. From modern sports cars all the way back to some very early classics, there was something for everyone with a passion for cars to look at.
  • Expert And Specialist Vendors: As the event’s primary sponsor, Bridge Classic Cars brought our expertise and passion to the thousands of people who came to see us. The team had a great time engaging with so many fellow car enthusiasts. In addition to our competition cars, we also had some examples of our handmade interior trim work on display too. Other stands included those selling sweets, pet accessories, children’s toys and accessories, plants, and so much more. Our friends from Vint-tro also had a presence as did the Suffolk Vehicle Enthusiasts Club, who helped oversee the event alongside the Helmingham Hall team.
  • Family-Friendly Activities: The festival catered to all members of the family, offering activities such as live entertainment, dancing, food stalls, and it was also dog-friendly! The atmosphere throughout the day was vibrant and extremely positive.
  • Community Engagement: The Festival of Classic and Sports Cars provided a platform for enthusiasts to come together to share their passion and enthusiasm. We were impressed by how well the owners of the cars on display cared for their vehicles and we loved seeing them up close. Money was being raised for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) which is a fantastic cause, and one we are extremely happy to help support.

Bridge Classic Cars

Craig Ranson, Managing Director of Bridge Classic Cars said “We are thrilled to have sponsored the Festival of Classic and Sports Cars at Helmingham Hall. This event perfectly encapsulates our mission of celebrating the beauty, craftsmanship, and history of classic vehicles, while also offering our team of automotive fanatics and experts the opportunity to enjoy an amazing collection of cars. We were honoured to be a part of such an incredible gathering and share our passion with fellow enthusiasts.”

Bridge Classic Cars’ commitment to excellence and our deep-rooted connection to the automotive world shone brightly throughout the Festival of Classic and Sports Cars. As primary sponsor, we played a pivotal role in creating a memorable experience that captured the essence of classic and sports cars.

Le Keux

Le Keux (pronounced le cue) is a countrywide franchise, with our closest based in Southend in Essex. This is a vintage salon run by the wonderful Anna! She creates looks for weddings, events, photoshoots or just to make you feel fabulous. Her ability to wind hair into intricate updos or brush out into Hollywood waves will leave you the envy of all your friends.

Anna has made it her mission to travel up and down the country to introduce people to the world of vintage hairstyling and has even created a how-to guide that can be purchased in the form of an e-book. Alongside hair styling, Le Keux also have a carefully curated range of cosmetics designed to be long-lasting.

Le Keux Essex will be appearing at our Bridge Classic Car Show on Sunday, where you will be able to purchase products and even get your hair done.

I have recently been working on a project with Anna at Le Keux in collaboration with other brands such as Rock n Romance and Lady Luck’s Boutique by taking part in a pin-up style shoot at Grumpy’s Diner in Southend. I had a great day posing in a mid-century setting with an iconic-looking milkshake in hand!

Rotary Classic Car Show at Culford

On Sunday, some of the Bridge Classic Cars team attended The Rotary Classic Car Show at Culford. It was a pleasant but windy day, but, with our gazebo firmly anchored down we were ready to greet the public. There were lots of friendly faces including some new and some familiar, we saw the lovely Steve Biggs with his MGB GT ‘Velma’ that he won from us earlier in the year.

There was a lovely Ferarri Dino, a pre-war Bentley tourer and a Volvo P1800 which were particular favourites. There were lots of car clubs out in force displaying cars spanning the eras such as the BMW club, the Mercedes club and Matra Club. They did a great job representing their brands. A large convoy, stampede if you will, of Triumph Stags departing en masse made a spectacular end to the day.

There were some great food stalls offering a selection of cuisines and some stalls selling vintage and antique items, plus a very popular sweet stall!

Goodwood Festival Of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a spectacular annual event that celebrates the rich heritage of motorsport and showcases a stunning range of vehicles from different eras. Held in the beautiful grounds of Goodwood House, this iconic festival has become one of the most eagerly anticipated gatherings for car enthusiasts and racing fans from all over the world.

With a history dating back to 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed has evolved into a four-day event that attracts both manufacturers and private collectors, who show off their impressive car collections. The event offers a unique opportunity to witness an awe-inspiring collection of cars, ranging from vintage classics to cutting-edge supercars and everything in between.

Bridge Classic Cars Director, Craig attended the Festival Of Speed 2023 and had an incredible time admiring some extremely notable vehicles. A big talking point of the FOS was the highly-anticipated reveal of Caterham’s Project V – a fully-electric sports car that can cover 0 – 62mph in 4.5 seconds before carrying on up to a top speed of 143mph!

Many famous faces were present at the festival including the likes of racing drivers Esteban Gutierrez, Jenson Button, Karun Chandhok, Mika Häkkinen, Damon Hill, Travis Pastrana and Mark Webber. Sebastian Vettel also made a memorable appearance in multiple cars from his own personal collection. Vettel’s presence was to promote sustainable fuel throughout the motorsport industry as well as in daily driving.

Craig said: “This was my first time attending Festival of Speed. I have been to Revival and Members Meet for many years so it was good to finally see FOS too. I had a great time at the event, there were a lot of cars there that I couldn’t help but to stop and admire. As a lifelong car nut, I was certainly in my element and will definitely return again.”

The Hill Climb

At the heart of the festival is the famous hill climb, where drivers compete against the clock to ascend the challenging course that winds its way through the Goodwood estate. The hill climb showcases the raw power, precision, and skill of both historic and contemporary racing machines. Spectators gather along the route, witnessing the thunderous roars and breathtaking speeds as drivers push their vehicles to the limits.

There are usually a number of cars that don’t make it to the end of the course and this year was no different. One crash that got a lot of media attention was the Hyundai RN22e which ploughed through the hay bales in a spectacular impact. It’s likely millions of pounds worth of damage was caused over the festival this year seeing as some extremely special (and expensive) cars didn’t make it around the course unscathed.

Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2023 – Highlights

The Goodwood Festival of Speed also boasts an impressive display of legendary racing cars, offering visitors a chance to get up close and personal with some of the most iconic vehicles in motorsport history. From Formula 1 cars that have graced the world’s most famous circuits to rally cars that have conquered treacherous terrains, the festival pays homage to the achievements and innovations that have shaped the automotive landscape.

Another big part of the festival is the spirit of innovation. This is apparent through the showcasing of cutting-edge technologies and concepts that represent the future of transportation. Electric and hybrid vehicles, autonomous driving technologies, and sustainable mobility solutions take centre stage, emphasising the importance of environmentally friendly practices in the automotive industry.

For example, Sebastian Vettel put on a display as part of his ‘Race without Trace’ initiative where he used fossil-free P1 sustainable fuel to power his 1992 Williams and 1993 McLaren F1 cars. These are the legendary cars that took Nigel Mansell to the Formula 1 World Championship and the late Ayrton Senna to his final race at Monaco.

Craig said: “The future of the automotive industry is not completely clear right now. Seeing how some of the big names are reacting to the change in priorities definitely makes me a bit more confident that we aren’t going to lose the thrill of driving anytime soon. The sustainable fuel that Vettel demonstrated today is a clear indication that it is possible to enjoy your cars while still moving more towards a sustainable future.”

Saturday Of Speed

On Saturday 22nd July 2023, the first-ever Saturday Of Speed is taking place at Royal Norwich.

Our friends from East Anglian Air Ambulance, who are the chosen charity for the event, will be in attendance.

The day looks very exciting with some big car brands having a presence at the show such as Porsche, Aston Martin, Lotus, TVR, Bentley & Rolls Royce, and more, although all cars are welcome.

There will be plenty for all the family to do throughout the day including:

  • Le Mans golf buggy time trial
  • Porsche hospitality area
  • Change the race car tyre time challenge
  • Several hundred cars on display to admire up close
  • Parade hill climb

For the younger car enthusiasts, there will also be a play area and bouncy castle too!

We’d love to see you there so make sure you come and see us on the East Anglian Air Ambulance stand.

4K AutoShow 2023

Yesterday, Sunday 9th July, the 4K AutoShow 2023 was held at Newmarket Racecourse.

The event saw hundreds of show vehicles displayed for all to enjoy, as the entire Racecourse was hired solely for the show.

Vehicles in attendance included Modified, Supercars, Classics, Vans, Motorbikes, Lorries, and everything in between!

Also on the day, there was food, drink, trade stands, ice cream vans, and a funfair for the smaller members of the family.

As you can see from the photos below, the show was great and it’s certainly one we’d like to check out again in the future.

Sunset Classic Car & Bike Meet

Last night, we welcomed more than 100 car enthusiasts to The Atelier at Bridge Classic Cars for our Sunset Classic Car & Bike Meet.

Everyone here had a great time and enjoyed spending time with some familiar faces (and a whole load of new ones too).

The weather was ideal for a sunset car meet, with sunshine, no rain, and a glorious sunset that made the collection of beautiful vehicles look even better in the dying light.

As well as cars and bikes to admire, we also had food, drink, and some music too. The atmosphere was relaxed and everyone in attendance certainly seemed to enjoy showing off their cars as well as admiring others.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us last night and we hope to see you again at some of our upcoming events.

London Concours 2023 – Day 1

Day 1 of the London Concours 2023 saw thousands of classic car enthusiasts admire a stunning array of vehicles at the Honourable Artillery Company. 80 cars were displayed across 11 classes and there were some truly special classics that helped create one of the most incredible collections of vehicles to ever be seen in London.

London Concours 2023 – Best In Show

The expert judges of the London Concours selected an extremely rare Schuppan 962CR P1 as Best in Show. This is one of just six examples (and one of only two CR models) and is the prototype for the 962CR project. The initial plan was based on using a Porsche 956/962 as a base before adding a Reynard carbon fibre chassis with bodywork styled by Mike Simcoe. Unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan and the project only ever produced six cars.

After going into private ownership and spending some time in France, this extraordinary car eventually made its way back to the UK where it has since undergone a full refurbishment and has also been retrimmed.

London Concours 2023 – Chairman’s Award

Another winner at the London Concours 2023 was a Jensen CV8 MKIII which was given the Chairman’s Award. This is given to the car that the chairman of the judges, Peter Read would most like to drive home himself. This particular CV8 was first registered in the UK in 1966 and had eight owners before ending up in the Netherlands in 1997. After its last Dutch MOT in 2002, it was put in a barn before being bought by its current owner in 2015. Since then, it has undergone a comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration over almost 4 years to bring this matching numbers car back to its former glory.

Other Notable Vehicles

Outside of the main concourse event, there were even more special vehicles to be seen. One of these was a 1948 L07 pre-production prototype of a Land Rover which was lost in the 1960s before finally being found again in 2016.

There was also a 1954 Series 1 Land Rover that covered 25,000 miles on the Oxford & Cambridge Trans-Africa Expedition.

In Attendance At The London Concours 2023

The London Concours 2023 runs until Thursday 8th June. While there, you will be able to see some of the best automotive specialists including McLaren London, Koenigsegg London, Alpine, Rodin Cars and both Jaguar and Land Rover Classic brands. Norton Motorcycles are also there representing the best vehicles on two wheels.

Andrew Evans, London Concours director, said: “The opening day of the London Concours is always a special occasion, as we unveil for the first time the collection of rarities that we’ve gathered into the stunning gardens of the HAC. But now the event continues to amaze, with an additional 50 Porsche 911 RS cars entering for Wednesday 7th June and then those cars making way for our Supercar Day on Thursday 8th June, featuring a collection of 50 of the latest performance cars. With live entertainment and a range of fine food and drink options, each day at the London Concours is a luxury spectacle.”

Supercar Fest 2023

Classic car technician Al went to the annual Supercar Fest last weekend.

The two-day event featured a huge variety of supercars and hypercars with open access to most of them for all who attended. Supercar Fest was held at Sywell Aerodrome and, from Al’s photos below, you can see just how impressive the cars on display were.

As Al used to work at Maclaren, he even managed to spot some of the cars he has previously helped build or worked on (including one previously belonging to Rowan Atkinson)!

Supercar Fest features runway demos, a supercar show, car club & owners displays, a GT, Performance & Sports car show, as well as an area dedicated to hypercars.

Drive It Day 2023 – Over £2000 Raised For The NSPCC

On Sunday 23rd April, Bridge Classic Cars hosted Drive It Day.

Starting at The Hangar, at Bentwaters Parks, around 150 cars arrived and were put on display. Tea and coffee were available and there was plenty of time to admire the wide variety of vehicles in attendance.

At midday, we all travelled, in convoy, to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, in Pettistree – a journey of approximately 7 miles. Once here, there was musical entertainment from The Buskateers, food from Suffolk Fried Chicken and Otis Breading, and The Atelier bar was open too.

The whole day was a lot of fun and it was great to see so many classic car enthusiasts turn out and spend some time with us (despite the poor weather at times!). However, it wasn’t all about fun and cars – Drive It Day helps raise much-needed funds for the NSPCC, specifically Childline.

Our Drive It Day was a great success and more than £2000 was raised over the course of the day.

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to thank everyone who came along and we hope to see even more of you at our future events.

Holton Village Classic Car Show

On Sunday 18th June 2023, Bridge Classic Cars attended the Holton Village Classic Car Show. I brought my dad along for the adventure as a Father’s day treat. My Dad and I walked around the displays and chatted to lots of exhibitors and their vehicles. The day was hot and the atmosphere friendly, lots of people were milling about with ice creams.

All classic cars, American and modern exotic cars (high-end supercars), and Hot-Rods were welcome at the show. There was a spectacle of super and classic cars spanning the eras.

There was a bar, barbecue, and music too.

The event took place at:

Essex Classic Vehicle Show

The Essex Classic Vehicle Show returned to the beautiful historic setting of Colchester Castle Park on the 25th of September 2022.

With over 250 classic vehicles from across the decades on display and a combined vehicle history of over 7,000 years, everyone was guaranteed to find something to enjoy. It was a rare treat to view so many classic vehicles in all their glory and have an opportunity to chat with the owners.

The Bridge Classic Cars team spent some time exploring the wide variety of classic vehicles on display as well as showing off our own classic 1961 Mini Deluxe ‘LITTLE EVA’ and our 1970 MG C Roadster.

We are actually giving both of these cars away in our latest competition so make sure you check out Bridge Classic Cars Competitions to find out more about how to win these beautiful classic cars.

The show itself was a great experience and we hope to return very soon.

Drive It Day 2022 – Kersey Mill

All of the team at Bridge Classic Cars love our vintage and classic cars and motorbikes. That’s what sits at the core of what we do here. So, we always try to observe Drive It Day. And international day to celebrate the joy of getting out and driving our beloved classics.

For many years, we have gone to the Kersey Mill meet. And this year, our director Gordon took his newly finished 1934 MG Midget PA to the 2022 Drive It Day meet. Surrounded by countless classics from across our area, some of whom we know well and others we’re excited to get to know.

It is an event on the calendar that we always look forward to. So, take a look below for our full gallery from the 2022 Drive It Day at Kersey Mill.

2021 Bridge Classic Cars Show

What a day! It was so lovely to welcome you back to our workshops for the 2021 Bridge Classic Cars show. After having to cancel both our 2020 Summer show and 2021 January show, we were well in need of a good catch up. The day started at our Bentwateras Hangar, before a convoy of roughly 150 cars made the journey through Woodbridge to our Woskhops in Pettistree.

Thank you to Matt Woods Photography for the imagery below.

Life On Two Wheels

On these sunny Sunday afternoons we don’t just jump in our cars here at Bridge!

Two of our technicians, Mauro and Tom spent Sunday enjoying a day out on two wheels in Great Yarmouth.

The Camaro’s Coming!

Not quite our usual classic, but this monstrous 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is set to be attending our Classic & Sports Car & Bike Show in January 2021.

Owned by a good friend of Bridge Classic Cars, this head turning car was made famous by holding a starring role in the 2007 Transformers movie.

Featured in the movie as the vehicle mode of the Autobot Bumblebee, the car gained such popularity from the films it led to Chevrolet going on to produce their very own ‘Bumblebee’ editions of the car. All four of which fetched over $500,000 in a group sale in the US last year.

If you’re planning to bring your classic or sports car or bike to our show in January – let us know! The show isn’t just for owners though, we welcome anyone, with or without a car or bike to come along. We’re already so excited to see everyone there!

Bridge Classic Cars open our Hangar doors for 2020’s first coffee morning meet

On Saturday 4th January 2020 we opened the doors of Bridge Classic Cars Hangar showroom for an exclusive car club coffee morning.

Until now, not many people were aware of this side to Bridge Classic Cars but our hangar is located within the grounds of the iconic RAF Bentwaters in Rendlesham. The private showroom is not often open to the general public but with the new year brings new ideas and it was a wonderful opportunity to open the doors, enjoy the open space and for like-minded automotive enthusiasts to get together to talk all things cars…with some bike and plane conversations going on too!

The sun was shining brightly for us on the day, which saw classics, vintage, sports and supercars from all over the region getting together to enjoy a thoroughly brilliant free event.

And we received some amazing feedback too so we are sure to be hosting many more events like this in 2020…
