He also fitted the Brantz system and trial-fitted the switches and gauges to help find the best location for each one.
From red to silver

Now that the wheels have returned from our good friends at Wheelworx having been re-coloured from red to silver, Jon has refitted them to make the car mobile once again. He has then removed the axle stands and dropped to the floor so he can knock all wheels up tight.
Priming Our C-Type Replica

Classic car technician Alan has been continuing his work on our special 2022 Bridge C-Type Replica. While it has been in the Bridge Classic Cars paintshop, Alan has been preparing the vehicle to be painted.
The next stage of this preparation was applying primer. After a change of plan, our C-Type Replica will now be finished in green instead of black. This is another step forward towards this very special project driving out of the Bridge Classic Cars workshop and out onto the road where it belongs.
More Prep Work

Now that the new colour scheme has been confirmed, the filler and panel levelling continued as our C-Type Replica continues to make good progress through the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.
A Second Go At The IVA

Our 2022 Bridge C-Type Replica has recently gone through an IVA (Individual Vehicle Assessment) in order to get licensed with the DVLA.
This time, everything went to plan and we are now waiting on the number plates to be delivered before we can finally take our C-Type Replica out on the road.

After all of the work that has gone into this unique vehicle, it is great to finally see it reaching the end of its build and will soon be ready to get out on the road for its first proper drive.
In addition to its IVA, our C-Type Replica has also had a booster seat made by classic car technician Lydia.
Bridge C-Type Replica Test Drive

Templates For Our C-Type Replica

Classic car technician Brian has been making templates for various parts of the interior of our Bridge C-Type Replica.
He started by removing the seats and loosening the seat belts before making a paper pattern for the rear gearbox tunnel. A pattern also had to be made for the centre tunnel section.
Once he had made a pattern for the gearbox tunnel cover, Brian went on make the pattern for the front section of the gearbox tunnel.
After the gearbox tunnel, Brian made patterns for the front end of the tunnel that joins the bulkhead and for the cover around the gear shift lever.
Patterns for the front footwell sections were next to be made before the bulkhead patterns were made too.
Once all the patterns had been made, Brian glued vinyl around the edges of the gear shift surround and hand brake surround. Vinyl was then glued to the edges of the gearbox tunnel sections so no metal was showing between the covers when they are joined together.
The tunnel covers were cut out of hardura material before being trial fitted into the car.
