Our technician Dave is known for taking his time, being utterly and totally meticulous to his craft – which is why he handles alot of our engine jobs, not just for that reason but also because its what he considers his strongest skillset. Either way, the job on his workbench is a project which the team here have been preparing for for months – the resurrection of our 1969 Audi 70/72L.
With the bodyshell being prepared on the other side of the workshops here at our Suffolk HQ, Dave is preparing the engine for its eventual reunion. He has carefully begun to stripdown the long block into its constituent parts to be thoroughly and obessesively inspected before they are cleaned, checked again, and then refurbished or replaced depending on their condition.
As he goes, Dave is also checking all mating surfaces and after clean down is taping up the block for pressure cleaning.
