Rolls-Royce has shown off the Cullinan Cosmos. This is a bespoke, one-of-one commission inspired by space and created for a family in Dubai. The Cullinan Cosmos is the first Rolls-Royce in history to have a fully hand-painted Starlight headliner.

The SUV was commissioned through Rolls-Royce’s Private Office Dubai, which acts as a hub designed to connect some of the brand’s most imaginative clients with its bespoke capabilities. The project has an emotional element as the owners wanted the car to be a tribute to their young son, who also shares their fascination for space.
First Ever Hand-Painted Rolls-Royce Headliner
While Rolls-Royce’s Starlight Headliners typically feature tiny fibre-optic lights to mimic stars, the Cullinan Cosmos takes this to a whole new level. Its roof lining is entirely hand-painted (a first for the marque). An in-house artist spent more than 160 hours and used more than 20 layers of acrylic paint to create the interpretation of the Milky Way galaxy. Once the painting was sealed, fibre-optic perforations were also added by hand.
“We wanted to create something our family would remember forever: a Rolls-Royce that captures the essence of the cosmos and shows that no dream is out of reach.”

Interior
Inside, the Cullinan Cosmos offers a “clean, tranquil environment” which has been designed to reflect the stillness of space. Reclining seats are upholstered in Charles Blue and Grace White leather, detailed with matching piping and contrast stitching. Piano White veneers add a technical aesthetic and give a subtle nod to spacecraft interiors.
A bespoke Star Cluster motif, created in collaboration with the clients, appears throughout the cabin, embroidered on the doors and headrests, and hand-painted across the passenger fascia.

Exterior
The exterior is finished in Arabescato Pearl, a pearlescent white that mimics moonlight across a dark sky. Twin coachlines in Charles Blue run along the sides, while an Illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy adds a final element of luxury.
“Space travel is an enduring fascination for the commissioning clients of this extraordinary one-of-one motor car. For the Bespoke Collective, this project also explored new frontiers, with our first-ever hand-painted Starlight Headliner. Bold in its conception and spectacular in its realisation, this commission demonstrates how Rolls-Royce brings clients’ otherworldly visions to life with drama, depth, and absolute precision.”
