Our 2015 Volkswagen T5.1, which was won recently by Eric, has been in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop for the team to carry out the last few jobs before it makes its way across the country to its new home. As part of a PDI on a more modern vehicle, our technician Jon checks to see whether the cambelt has recently been replaced, which on T5.1 he found was just a touch overdue. So, onto the ramp and straight to work, Jon set about stripping everything down to replace both the cambelt and water pump on the van.
Once everything was swapped over, Jon could get on with the task of fitting everything back together in the engine bay before refilling all the various fluids ahead of the van going for its MOT – the last phase before it is loaded into our enclosed transporter and taken to its lucky new owner.
