As the Bridge Classic Cars team continue onwards with the recommision of the 1967 Austin Healey 3000, our technician Jon is charging his way through the job list on the classic British sports car.
‘Strip carbs and clean. Set jet depths and re build. Swap studs from old air filters to new ones and fit. Raise and work out where to fit inline fuel filter. Cut pipe and remove 4 inch section. Fit fuel filter and hoses and secure.’
‘Remove oil filter housing and strip on bench. Remove oil filter canister and clean all parts. Fit new filter and seal and refit to housing. Make new gasket and refit complete to engine. Fit new anti roll bar brackets to front. Drain fuel tank. Clean and refit bung. Put in 10 ltrs new E5 petrol. Strip and remove points and condenser. Fit new.‘
‘Finish points and condenser and set. Refit cap and rotor arm. Strip and remove steering idler and pitman arm. Press off arm and fit to new idler. Fit to ar and secure . Refit ball joints and new split pins. Glue on new clutch pedal rubber.’
