Since arriving at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, the 1947 Morris 8 has been checked over by the restoration team to come up with their list of repairs. Recently, our technician Jon has begun to work his way through the cars repairs.

‘Set carb jet depth to @1mm. Refit piston amd suction chamber and re oil piston damper. Drain coolant. Refit bottom hose and clean/blow off underneath. Refill with new anti freeze. Raise and remove catch can hanging underneath engine. Clean area. Run up later to find source of leak. Put 10ltrs E5 petrol in. Sort wiring out to coil and fuel pump, crimp in new terminals and tidy. Jump start and run up for a min or two. Visually check for leaks but OK at present. Refit inspection panel in nearside front wing.’
