Repairing the Headliner of the 1996 Mercedes SL320

With the hardtop now off the car, and on a stand here at the Bridge Classic Cars HQ, our trim team can begin to get to grips with the headliner for the 1996 Mercedes SL320. As with nearly all headliners, through years of heating and cooling the glue fails and you end up with the dreaded ‘sag’. Our trimmer Rachael has stripped off the headliner and cleaned up the backing in an attempt to reuse both pieces with new adhesive.
